The reviews I read of this establishment raved about the wonderful staff. The young lady who "greeted" us at the door seemed very indifferent to our arrival, as did the young lady who seated us. We got water and menus promptly, and our main waitress was initially good. Everyone was happy with their orders. After we received our food, the main waitress disappeared, only to appear again to deliver the check. I don't recall getting asked if we wanted dessert, and our water glasses were never refilled. We had to wave down a different waitress to get a to-go box. There was a murder on Bourbon Street that night, apparently close to where we were dining, as for most of our dinner all the windows were flooded with red and blue police lights. This was not the fault of the restaurant; it's all location, location, location. Bourbon Street lived up to its seedy standard.

Ordered raw oysters and grilled oysters. Neither were sucked properly to start with. The raw were warm and had one that tasted off. Chargrilled were not very good taste wise. We let our water know and he said he told the manager but she never came out. We said something again and chef came out and offered more but didn't want anything else there! Chef said he could take something off but they didn't. Ask for manager again but she only went behind bar and filed her nails. My friend went and said something to manager and she went in the kitchen and never came out. All the staff were busy talking to each other and no one seemed to care about the guests. So many good places in Nola to suffer bad food and terrible service. Suzette was the manager at the time we were there.

The crab cakes were not made on site. Seemed like the freezer section. The Caesar salad I'm pretty sure came from a big bag. We made a reservation but clearly you did not need one. Got the grilled oyster Rockefeller. To Desires redemption, they were very good. Go there, get the oysters. Skip the rest.

Ambiance felt a little tired and menus need a refresh but food was good and quick. The chargrilled oysters were excellent.

Eh. Oysters large and fresh. Has the feel of a high school cafeteria. Server was lovely. Could be cleaner. You can smell Bourbon Street from the window tables. Ick. IYKYK. P

We visited for drinks and appetizers. The oysters were huge and very tasty. The gumbo was excellent. Our server Shirley is a jewel, and we really appreciate her. We had a great time.

A favorite spot in New Orleans, the oysters were so good!! We also enjoyed the fried shrimp & fries! The fish was so fresh & fries well seasoned! I wish I could remember the servers name, she was very helpful & pleasant.

Come and see Miss Shirley oh my God this breakfast was phenomenal. The waitresses were so helpful and the hostess was kind very clean. Very delicious. Exactly what I was looking for this morning. Cajun Benedict is a must when coming to Nola.

Walked in at the door greeter told us we could not come in with our drinks. We just purchased cups from Fat Tuesday, so we got rid of them. While eating we watched 3 other guests come in and be seated with clear visible drinks in hand. Nothing was said to them about their drinks. The oysters taste like pizza with the amount of mozzarella on them and were not cooked to a chargrilled state. The wings were horrible. On a brighter side The margaritas were made to perfection. And the waitress and ambiance of the dining room was more than to be expected. If those were the things to sell me I would be back tomorrow. But ion think so.

Our first meal upon arrival, it was after 9:30pm. Place was still 1/2 full. We just ate some raw oyster, Rockefeller and gumbo. Fresh and pretty good, gumbo can improve more.

The oysters are great. I kept coming back because the charbroiled oysters with spinach are gluten free! Other locations they are not, only the herb and cheese version are. My friend who isn't gluten free said the gumbo and etouffee wasn't the best. It wasn't flavorful. The drinks are weak and small, so I would bring your own drink or wait to go somewhere else.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free charbroiled oysters variations are available

I read somewhere that they had the best chargrilled oysters in New Orleans and I was not disappointed! These are some of the best! I compared them to Acme oyster bar and preferred these because they were a bit cheesier. I also enjoyed the atmosphere MUCH more. It was quiet, clean and pleasant. I went there in the early evening and there was yet to be a line out of the door. Just a handful of people enjoying a nice meal. The bartenders were amazing as well.
