A NOLA must, everything from beginning to end is off the chart! Do not miss the opportunity to dine at this legendary establishment.

We got there and had a jazz brunch reservation at 11 which the young kid at the front desk couldn’t even find. He set us anyway. In the back of course. The menu is a little more advanced than the chefs are capable of producing. It was ok just not great for what they charge.

Happy hour at the Empire Bar is really a good time. Certain cocktails are marked down and it’s a good time to try different things you may not have had before. The bartenders here are professional and the bar is very well stocked. If you would like a Ramos Gin Fizz, no problem, they can make it. There is often times locals at this bar and it’s a good place to learn about the city.Vegetarian options: Salads, seafood and non meat dishesKid-friendliness: Not a kid kind of placeParking: Some free street parking and a few paid garages with in a few blocksWheelchair accessibility: Fully accessibleDietary restrictions: Staff will work with you on any restrictions you make them aware of

Average food which is very overpriced and poor service. Waited more than half an hour to order then main was brought out while I was still eating the starter. I said I was not ready for the mains but they kept bringing it back. Paying the bill also took a long time. Definitely not fine dining experience.

Great ambiance! The staff was very accommodating with switching our reservation and giving us one of the nicest tables in the restaurant. However, the food was average. Unfortunately my meal (the duck leg) was bland, and the side of potatoes were average and didn’t have the smoothest texture like any other restaurant in that price range. My wife’s pork chop tasted great though. The cocktail drinks were also very good, but we were hoping for better wine recommendations from the wine attendant. They gave us a desert to commemorate our anniversary, which is why we dined there, and the staff overall was nice, but I wish the food was better.

Unique menu, good service. Ask for Lionel and take his advice. I hesitated on ordering the recommended pork chop, must say i’ve never tasted better. My beautiful wife did the roast chicken. Loire-valley sauvignon-blanc was perfect accompaniment. Recommended! GR

We went here for our special dinner to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately we didn’t realise that we needed ID with us! As a 67 and 60 year old we assumed we were ok! We were refused service and left. Luckily we then discovered Napoleons House where the food and service are amazing. We also had drinks in the chart house where we didn’t need ID and the drinks and atmosphere were fab! My advice would be avoid Broussard’s and head to Napoleons House and Chart House if you want to be treated with respect and have some great food!

The food was excellent. The dining area was beautiful. Lindsey and Maddie were exceptional wait staff. The Jazz musicians were very talented and played at a nice volume.

We went for a jazz brunch and were a bit underwhelmed. I had the deviled eggs which were different but good, and the bread basket which was pretty 50-50 for me. My husband had the chicken and waffles which was fine, but he thought the chicken was a bit too dry. I had the quiche with shrimp which was prepared fine, but I thought it a little weird. The accompanying Lyonnaise potatoes were very good. The endless mimosas were consistently filled and we were offered to “geaux” cups to take with us. Nothing too bad, but nothing out of the park for the experience.

Beautiful restaurant, service was fantastic, food excellent, loved it. Started with a gumbo special; shrimp and grits entre; fabulous desserts.

Our group of 7 went to Jazz Brunch on a Saturday. The Jazz band was phenomenal and went from table to table taking song requests! The food was excellent, drinks were delicious, and the bottomless mimosas were a hit! We ordered the table side bananas foster for dessert and it was incredible. We will be back to Broussard’s!

My wife and I were visiting NOLA with our oldest daughter and husband and our youngest daughter. They discovered Broussard's at a festival the previous weekend and booked a dinner reservation for us all. The bar has a great happy hour and a neat selection of cocktails based on each decade since the 1920's. I tried but couldn't get through all of the decades in one visit ;-). We had a 6:45 reservation so we arrived early to take advantage of the happy hour and, as luck would have it, they were able to seat us 45 minutes early just as happy hour ended. The staff were very professional and took awesome care of us. The atmosphere was casual elegance and it was a very pleasant place to share a great meal and good conversation. We shared some Oysters Broussard as an appetizer; charbroiled oysters on the half-shell with cheese and bacon. The bacon was about 1/4" thick and a tad too chewy but tasted great. I think pork belly would work better but that's just my opinion. 3/5 of us ordered the filet. Unfortunately, my oldest daughter's filet came out closer to medium well than medium and we had to send it back. They immediately rectified the situation by bringing her an on-the-house bowl of gumbo to tide her over until they cooked a new filet for her. The gumbo was by far the best she had all week and the new filet was cooked to perfection so I give them props for doing such a great job in the recovery. The other 2 steaks were cooked to perfection but the overcooked one was a little thinner and larger diameter so it kind of made sense that it got a little too well done. I never penalize somebody for a mistake because the recovery is what really matters and they aced it. I had the redfish and my son-in-law had the jerked chicken. Both were well cooked and the side dishes were very good as well. I have caught a lot of redfish but never eaten any so I was interested to try it and it was very good; lightly grilled without a lot of seasoning to cover up the natural good flavor. NOLA is a foodie's paradise and we were limited to 3 nights' worth of dinners and Broussard's was well worth the visit. Reservations are recommended and it is deserving of proper dress (nice jeans or pants and a collared shirt).

Regrettably, I have to write this review. What a disappointment. We had a 7:30 reservation and arrived at 7:30 and were told our table was not ready, even though half of the tables were empty (I know, I know..."after Covid, we don't have enough staff"). Were seated around 7:40...okay. Then we sat for about 10 more minutes before someone showed up with a menu. Then another 10 minutes before someone came over to take our drink order. Then another 10 minutes before the drinks came. Then we ordered and were told another 15 minutes for the apps to come out. Mind you, the servers were incredibly friendly, but couldn't seem to get the job done. The food was mediocre at best, and that's an "average" of a couple of highlights and a lot of "low lights". Summary, since this review is already longer than it should be: Pork chop = excellent, perfectly cooked with a nice sauce. Cajun chicken = Fail, a little half a Cornish hen, so overcooked on the bottom that it felt like bone, tasteless. Lamp chops = fatty. Dessert was ridiculous... an 'éclair' (translation...three day-old elongated biscuit) topped with a thin slice of hard banana (translation....green), with a two scoops of some type of cream. Absolutely awful. Don't waste your time or your money.

Fantastic food, fun ambiance, and wonderful service. James and Antoniette were extremely friendly and helpful, and we had a great time. Highly recommend.

The food was for the most part very good, the drinks were fine , snd servers couldn’t have been more accommodating or friendly . But it lacked a certain cohesion. Still, I would recommend.
