The newest renovation was poorly done. There are many underlying unhealthy conditions that were ignored. The paint on the wall is covering up thick layers of mold that were discovered. The kitchen is dripping in grease and the dishes and plates have rat crap on them. The owner was very cheap as well as not honest and forthcoming about what was agreed during the renovation. Definitely do not recommend this bar.

When I say say hole in the wall I mean hole in the wall but the food, drinks and atmosphere are to die for. I stop in during happy hour sometimes just for the rum punch and the steak. Most nights there's a special dish being served and 2 for 1 drinks. If you're in the East stop in. You won't be disappointed.

I've had Gabby's a couple of times in different years, so far the food has been consistent! The steak was seasoned well in 2017 even though it took an hour plus because it was steak night and we had the catfish smothered in a crawfish sauce which was also very good! A couple of weeks ago I ordered the fish and my fiancee order a hamburger. He said it was ok but would have ordered the fish plate. I would recommend this HolentheWall!
