Horrible Hostess on Sunday - no hospitality here. On Sunday the wind was barreling down Magazine, we asked if we could adjoin tables on the front side of the restaurant for warmth. Understanding one table was already set up for reservations 2 tables remained open. Hard no - we then asked if the heater could be turned on - no propane. I would not have cared but my pregnant daughter was cold. I ended up purchasing the last jacket they had for $40 to keep her warm. Our food and server were great and the table on the front was still open when we left. Never seated.

Good food but we waited almost an hour before to get our food. We were outside and get cold! Too bad.

Our server, Michael was delightful. He was very welcoming, knowledgeable and patient with accommodating our dietary restrictions. We were his last table of the night, but he maintained exceptional service. The scallops were to die for and a dish you must try!!! Thanks for an amazing experience !!!

Pretty mediocre food, pretty mediocre service, lovely balcony. You can do better in New Orleans

There aren't words enough to address the quality and quantity of the food at Gris-Gris, but I really want to shout out Holly for being the focal point of my experience here. She was so kind, funny, and attentive. Do yourself a favor and go let Holly make your day while over indulging on their pot roast.

We ate here for a special occasion. While I will say it was good, I was expecting it to be a bit better for the prices. My cocktail was just okay. Appetizer was amazing - oyster BLT. But our entrees came out cold. Service was pretty slow, but she had the whole patio to herself.Overall - 4/5

Very very very long before the order is taken and long long wait time before being served.....

Had the gumbo, along with the shrimp & grits. I didn’t care for the food. The 2 other people had the catfish po boy and they didn’t care for it much. Felt the fish was not cooked enough. The other party who had shrimp & grits took a couple of bites & did not eat the majority of his food. Nice waitress but would not return. I also had a drink & spent about $55.

This was the worst service I have ever seen at a restaurant. It took more than 1 hour and 15 minutes from the time we placed our order until they delivered 3 burgers.

We had brunch at Gris Gris this past Sunday, and enjoyed their wonderful outdoor patio. The staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and accommodating to our group! The food was FANTASTIC! I had the "deconstructed" Oyster BLT, which was INCREDIBLE, and shared the delicious pulled-pork Benedict with my wife! The flavors were incredible! We would highly recommend Gris Gris to ANYONE visiting or living in New Orleans, and will definitely return the next time we visit the city! It was within easy walking-distance to our Air B&B located in the Garden District! 10/10-will definitely come back again!

We had a delicious lunch here on a Sunday. We shared a bowl of gumbo. It was delicious. It was the vermillion style so more red than brown. Lots of flavor and spice but not hot spicy. We also had the swordfish over green beans. The green beans were like Greek green beans - in a tomato sauce and slow cooked. The swordfish was cooked perfectly and seasoned with just enough creole seasoning. We sat outside on the balcony and watched the world go by. It was just lovely !The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly !
