I really love the atmosphere and the food. The wait is long, however it's worth it! Everything is so fresh and hot! It's simply amazing! Ask for Desiree! and be sure to order the Carafe of Mimosas!! #LiveYourWholeLife

We had a great experience at Jimmy J's Cafe. We loved the Crab Cake Benedict and Monte Cristo French Toast. The service was top notch.

Food was horrible and they disputed it wasn't. They didn't make any accommodations to make my experience great. I will never go back to this restaurant. The service was horrible and the waitress was awful. She was rude and very condescending as we were trying to explain our problem. @Jimmy M our server was Jessica and the bartender on duty. They both were very rude and very negative. We asked to speak to a manager and was told there wasn't a manager on duty. The whole experience felt like we were being bated to show a negative reactions towards your staff. The ladies laughed and was very antagonist towards us. I have never been disappointed and disrespected in a customer service situation ever. The staff needs to be trained in customer etiquette ASAP!

First of all the freshly squeezed OJ and then the incredibly delicious food makes this a must when visiting NOLA. There's always a line to get in but worth the wait.

Really love this place. Such nice and friendly people and the crab Benedict is amazing. They also serve cocktails if you'll like a morning eye opener. Very limited seating so get here early!

This place was AMAZING! I loved all the music, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, good soul And R&B. Beautiful art! Clean! The food was extraordinary! We had Steak and eggs and French toast both were Great!

Food was just ok, but place is shifty. Wanted to get a trio of their dishes. Server suggested making it a quad by adding the soup of the day. When the bill comes, the $15 trio becomes a $46 quad! Nothing like getting scammed for lunch. Update: Response to managers comment. Yes, we did ask for an adjustment. No dice. Won't see us back.

Did some Search and Destroy this morning looking for the Nawlins breakfast experience. Good ' Ol Jimmy J''s. Funky Cozy feeling Southern feel to this hidden Gem Jimmy J's definetly gave me the experience we where looking for. 3 Meat Omelette- nicely cooked, just the right amount of cheese. Diced grilled potatoes where just right nicely seasoned. French Toast- easily powdered sugar coated toast. toasty crust soft center notnso sweet just how French Toast should be. Tuscan Style Eggs- very good, a little too much grits underneath. Handmade sausage patties- a little over cooked, well seasoned. But love it. Deep Fried TWINKIE- Well Done! Have to try this again. Service- excellent excellent excellent!

Wow, what a find. We've walked past this place 50 times and just never considered it because we usually have other breakfast places on the list. I looked at Yelp reviews early one morning, and thank God it was early, because this little shotgun room (maybe ten tables) filled right after us and by the time we left, there was a queue around the block. I had the Cochon Eggs Benedict (with an upsell of a blob of crab), and it was sublime. Rich and creamy and the pork was deliciously smoked. The husband had the Eggs Ranchero (with an upsell of andouille) and was transported. I don't think he spoke until he asked for the check. I had a bite and it was super spicy and so freaking good. The staff! Fantastic! Our server was sassy and weird and fast and funny. We tipped the s*** out of her. Again, if you want to go (and you must), get there when the doors open, or you're going to cry on the sidewalk for an hour.

I've been to New Orleans a few times for work, and this spot has become my favorite breakfast joint. The space is tiny but so worth the wait! The service is quick and the food is always hot and really good. I got the breakfast sandwich on fresh French bread, which came with a side of potatoes. Sooo good.

This is a YES! You have to come here if you are visiting New Orleans. Love them. From the food to the cozy little feeling of the restaurant and the staff is so warm and loving and sincere. I wish I could remember our waitress' name, she's blonde and wears her hair in a medium length pony tail, not super long with the black cap, she was the bomb. The whole staff is so attentive and sweet and there is love coming out of that kitchen. The crab cake was amazing. The food was amazing. Just melt in your mouth amazing. I got the banana nut bread French toast, I could eat it every day if I could. It was real banana nut bread, not just toast. I wish I could have tried the cookies and creme pancakes too. My boyfriend got the fried pork chop. He loved it. We even ordered another crab cake after we were done eating. The pictures don't do it justice. I wish we ate there from day one for breakfast and lunch. I would catch a flight just to eat here, legit. What's a Ruby Slipper? Jimmy's J's is where the good people and food is at! They should have a line around the block. If our waitress is reading is this: we loved you and you're the bomb!

If there's Monte Cristo on the menu, you'll find me there. The server suggested putting an egg on top, which I never had before, and it was perfection. I also second the review regarding their coffee being amazing! The decor on the wall is super cool too!

We tried this out today despite the horrid review we saw from the other day. We did however go very early! We got the ranchero, Banda bread French toast and a sample of the sausages made in house. I would highly recommend trying the sausages however the blueberry one was not that good and the poblano one was amazing. My ranchero eggs were so tasty but the bottom was a little cold. My husbands french toast was a special and so damn good. Try this place out! Go early!!!! It's worth the waut

Tiny little place that we happened upon. It was super cold outside so I was glad we weren't any of the people that got asked to wait outside for a table. Monte cristo French toast... what? Yes please, all in my mouth! The sweet savory combo of ham, cheese, and French toast was so weird, but so yummy! The cheese grits were eh... The eggs Benedict was a great dish. The poached eggs were done perfectly! Service was good and the two working were working together, I love to see that! My only complaint was the coffee wasn't hot.
