We had my brother’s surprise engagement dinner here and the staff were so incredibly helpful and accommodating. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience. We are so grateful! Thanks for making this special day absolutely perfect!

This place is absolutely amazing. Our waitress, Max, was so nice and helpful. She made the experience delightful. The food was great and the espresso martinis were even better. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Celebrated my cousin’s birthday here with dinner and drinks on the rooftop this past weekend. We had an amazing time! Our reservation was for 530 but we arrived about a half hour earlier and were allowed to wait in the seating area/lounge which was connected to the hotel’s bar (located in the Pontchatrain Hotel). I absolutely loved the decor because it was a concept that was welcoming, nostalgic, and upscale. Whoever designed the space is a genius. There are plenty of Instagram worthy areas to take pictures and the menu was outstanding. My cousins and I each ordered a different dish where we took turns sampling plates. There were 6 of us and we ordered the pork cheeks, fish in a bag (flounder), crawfish risotto, broccolini, braised pork ribs, and cauliflower soup. I also ordered the “hibis-kiss” drink and a lemon drop martini. We lounged around a bit before the waitress told us about the rooftop bar “Hot Tin Roof.” All on the same hotel with a beautiful view of the NOLA skyline. The hotel is located on the RTA line and we took streetcar 12 from Canal street to Josephine and St. Charles. This was a perfect way to see more of the city and embrace the culture.

This is an all-around great experience. From the moment you walk in, to the moment you walk out. My husband and I came here for our anniversary. Upon checking in with the host for our reservation, he asked if we were celebrating anything this evening. We replied, "Yes, our anniversary." We were seated, and our waitress came to say hi immediately. Then, the host brought us complimentary champagne ? very thoughtful. Our food was delicious and came out on time in perfect courses. The atmosphere was definitely one for a celebration in class! We will be returning!

The absolute best birthday. I want to thank the entire staff of Jack Rose for truly being remarkable. They were so flexible, accommodating, and made our night so memorable. Food was to DIE for, I can’t emphasize enough how delicious everything was. There were 18 of us, and they were absolutely fantastic. Service, atmosphere, food, presentation, vibes, STAFF, all were 5/5 stars- I can’t WAIT to go back. Ironically enough we had two friend groups that were going to New Orleans the following weeks, and I immediately told them to make reservations at Jack Rose - both parties also had an amazing experience! Thank you so much again- can’t wait to be back!!!

Went for a bachelorette party of 12 & it was lovely! The vibes were on point & they did an amazing job handling such a big group. And the food… omg! It was delicious!! I had the beet salad & the mushroom pasta - so freaking good I licked my plate clean! 12/10 recommend for a nice, slightly fancy (or whatever level of fancy) night out.

Food and Service were good. Even though no dress code in evening probably better to go with business casual. I was in shorts and probably the most underdressed...lol. I recommend the red snapper.

Beautiful, magnificent, and extravagant are only a couple of words that come to mind to describe our experience at Jack Rose. This restaurant, located inside of the Pontchartrain Hotel, was a marvelous time. The Red Snapper and the Fish in a bag were both delicious and, for dessert, the flourless chocolate cake and the pistachio tiramisu were to die for. Definitely a must have during your time in New Orleans!

Found this place by accident and what a delight. The ambiance was really cool and the food was amazing. My husband had the duck special and I had a scallop squid pasta. Our server was amazing, sorry I can remember her name, and she even gave us some recommendations for other dinner/lunch places while we were in town. Would totally recommend this place to anyone. You won't regret it.

The restaurant is beautiful and very elegantly decorated. It seems to me that a more appropriate choice of music - especially in a dinner venue- would be softer. Jazz perhaps or swing but not high energy loud music that you would enjoy in a high energy bar or nightclub. It was hard to communicate to my husband across the small table but we were sitting so close to another couple, we felt almost in their space and conversation. The food was delicious and presentation was very nice.

This is my third time there. I was very disappointed in the food. A gumbo was way spicier than it has been in the past, my main dish looked good but did not have much taste at all and was very small portion. And the dessert was kind of odd tasting. Generally, I love the food here, but this was very disappointing. my son and my friend are also 50-50 and they love the place. Waitstaff was great so kudos to them. We had three courses and were all starving afterwards so the portions were small...

The worst thing about coming here is having to decide what to get.... Because it's all so good! The hostess was kind and welcoming, and made small talk while arranging a table for me. Maggie was my server and she said she was new but she is very good at her job. She is going to do really well in the service industry. The manager came by to check on me, and I felt well cared for the entire time. My water was always full and plates were cleared quickly - the teamwork was seamless. Now, about the good. Every bite was incredible. I started with the duck gumbo and the rich flavors warmed me all the way to my soul. Next came the rabbit sausage appetizer, with root vegetables and a lovely tangy sauce that brought it all together. Finally, the steak special with crispy potatoes.... Wow! The potatoes were perfectly crispy and seasoned, the steak was perfectly seasoned and medium rate and sliced, which made each bite a breeze. The Martini (that's the name of it: The Martini) was very good. I wish I had room for more.Seriously, this place rivals a nearby spot that is also amazing, but this is absolutely on par with my experience at the other place. If you are in NOLA, you would be missing out if you didn't plan on at least one meal here.
