Staff was very friendly. Location was easy to find off the Red Trolley from Canal st. I wasn't sure what to expect, I wanted something different that the French Quater vibe. The menu is a little different but pretty much the same, po-boys, oysters, burgers,etc... We had the Roast Beef/Ham po-boy, it was different. Very juicy, full of flavor. We also had a Katies Chicken sandwich, really good, not processed or precooked chicken and a side of onion rings. For appetizer we had their special version of fried green tomatoes with grilled shrimp. The tomato batter wasn't favorable need some more seasoning. The famous Oysters that were suppose to be better than Draygos and Acme....Unfortunately, their oysters did not even come close. Oysters were very oily no flavor. It was different, will I go back, unfortunately NO.

I discovered Katie's years ago on a business trip to New Orleans. It continues to be one of my favorite places. This time, I took my whole family on our recent trip to NOLA. It is as good as I remember. We waited about 45 minutes for a table of 5 on a Tuesday evening, but it was worth the wait. The Redfish NOLA is still outstanding (blacked catch of the day--redfish--with shrimp and crab meat). The rest of the family enjoyed their pizza, fried chicken, oysters, and garlic fries. Chef Scott is also the friendliest guy. He found time to walk around the dining room, even though they were really busy and he was mostly expediting in the kitchen.

My husband and I visited for lunch on a Saturday. There was a short wait but we chose to sit at the bar and got immediate service. I order the Hawaiian Girl pizza with gluten free crust. It was delicious and huge. My husband got the ribs, which he raved about. We enjoyed it so much, we went back for drinks and late night snack.

My quesadilla was greasy. The strawberry mojito I ordered tasted like cough syrup and they wouldn’t give me a replacement drink. Very disappointed!

The folks at Ashton's B and B recommended this spot so the six of us ventured over. I only wish that they accepted reservations as it was a cool and rainy night that we experienced while waiting for a table to open up. We enjoyed the fried dishes and everyone enjoyed the food. This is another very noisy place so don't go here if you want to have a quiet conversation.

I heard about this place on a podcast and it did not disappoint. I had the poboy with fried green tomatoes, shrimp and remoulade and it was so so so good. We sat outside and it was the perfect atmosphere for a neighborhood meal. I loved that it was off the beaten path and felt like the best kept secret.

Wonderful fun neighborhood cozy restaurant with very diverse clientele and delicious food and friendly, helpful wait staff. A new find and it will be a “go to” in my future!

On vacation. Really good gumbo. Really good chicken sandwich. Really good food. It is strange and wonderful how a lot of the places to eat are just mixed on streets where people live. I like the blending of eateries and homes.

Whenever we visit New Orleans we head. To Katie’s for breakfast. Food is delicious, the staff is fabulous and the atmosphere is fun. It’s a vibe! Definitely check them out !

This is by far a great place that is known to the locals, and not many tourists. Because its not in the Quarter, many tourists will not venture out this way. We had the Pagani flat bread as one of the main courses (it's an appetizer) and the blackened redfish which was the special of the day. We sat outside in the quiet neighborhood enjoying the cool weather and peaceful location. The dirty martini went down very easily ($5 Friday Martinis). This is almost a standard go-to restaurant when we are in New Orleans.

We were taken to Katie’s for a midweek dinner while in New Orleans visiting from Australia. They managed to seat our group of 6 straight away and service was great and friendly throughout the meal. Our choices were delicious and more than we could finish. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice relaxed meal.

We went on a Wednesday night and there was no wait. Our server was very attentive. The food was very good. I'm still thinking about the eggplant fries...yum! The hamburger steak was also delicious. Their gravy is so good!

Our group ate on the second floor and everything was handled by the server with perfection. The food was bountiful and delicious. I ordered 2 appetizers as my dinner and I could only eat half of it. The bread pudding was a revelation. I have had it many places, but Katie's version: OMG

Outstanding, family-friendly neighborhood restaurant. This gem is hidden in a neighborhood about 10-15 minutes outside center French quarter. Plenty of parking across the street and accessible by street car stop. It’s small and can be loud - but those were in the plus column for us and added to the local flair of the establishment. There are specials every night so check the board. Do not hesitate to get the crawfish beignet and blackened redfish!
