Hostess was on the phone for a few minutes upon arrival but we waited patiently. When she got off the phone, she skipped us (Black couple)and decided the sit a white couple that obviously jumped us and another couple behind us. The host knew we were next but decided to sit them anyway. When she came back to help us she was shocked to see that we had reservations and witnessed her sit someone else who just walked up and skipped. It wasn't worth talking to management at the moment. The dining experience is always pleasant but that was blatantly disrespectful.

They said it was gonna take 10 minutes for a gin fiz. When we got, it was warm. Then the fried green tomato/shrimp with remalaude sauce, had only a smattering of said sauce. Then it took a longer than usual amount of time to get two entries. The Catfish Huey was awful! It came with a twice baked potato! A very unusual choice for fish. And the “crab glaze” was frozen crab! We were not asked how our meal was, and I had to ask for a dessert menu.

Had higher hopes for this place based on reviews. Service was ok, server said he was newer to the restaurant. Our cocktails were good but more than half was ice! Food was average. The chicken was definitely good and hot (temp wise) however the rice and beans it was over was room temp. We went for our first dinner in town but maybe brunch next time.

My wife and I went to order food from the bar. After waiting several minutes to be greeted we were greeted by the general manager who was extremely nice and suggested we try fried green tomatoes and the red beans & rice. Which we did and we were so pleased with the food!!! Very flavorful, good portions we definitely will be returning.

I booked a dinner reservation at Kingfish in preparation for our last night in New Orleans on a weekend trip three months in advance. We got there about 15 minutes early and we were seated within 5 minutes. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, but that's where the positives stop.It took 20 minutes to get drinks and 45 minutes to get our two appetizers though we ordered them within 5 minutes of sitting down. We ordered the crawfish bread which had very little crawfish flavor. It tasted more of cheese and green onion. The green tomatoes with shrimp were alright, nothing all that great. We had to ask our waitress to take our main course order 35 minutes into our experience. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the BBQ shrimp pasta. It took about an hour and 20 minutes to get our main dishes from the time we sat down. The shrimp and grits was almost inedible. I'm down with a crystal hot sauce butter, but this tasted like they just poured a whole bottle of it in a bowl and added some shrimp, an ice cream scoop of grits and a few cherry tomatoes. There was no balance, just straight vinegar acidity. My boyfriend's pasta reminded him of an Alfredo sauce, not reminiscent of a spicy BBQ shrimp sauce. We had to ask our waitress multiple times for water as well and while she was nice, we felt neglected. The manager came over twice, letting us know our apps were taking a while and to see how they were when we got them. We asked to be comped for how poor our experience was and an app was taken off the bill. For a restaurant that was barely half full I truly can't understand why so many missteps happened. Don't waste your time and money at this establishment. It's simply not worth it.

Very disappointing. We waited 40 minutes for two appetizers. The restaurant was maybe half full at best. Our waitress was nice, but not attentive. We had to keep asking for water and had to ask her to take our main course order 30 min after sitting down. The apps were fine, but nothing special. The entrees we ordered were also not great. Overall it took two hours to finish the dining experience. The manager comped an app, but I can't understand what led to all the mishaps of the meal. Just a meal that wasn't worth it.

We loved our dining experience here! Service was excellent as was the food. French bread with butter, Boudin balls, cheeseburger, grilled chicken Cobb salad, and dessert—mousse with ice cream was all quite tasty and made a great presentation. The Old Fashioned drink was quite nice too! We will definitely eat here again.

Came upon this place by accident. So glad we did. The biscuits were amazing, So light and buttery! I had the french toast and it really satisfied my sweet tooth. Our server was friendly and made great recommendations. When we go back to NOLA, this will be a a definite go to.

Stopped in to split an appetizer and a meal. We had the sweetest server that took extremely good care of us. We had one of our best meals just strolling in here unexpectedly for a quick bite. Highly recommend, everything was cooked to perfection. Wonderful ambiance that seems to mellow you out after wandering the busy city streets.

A nice afternoon stop for happy hour drinks and a breather until we were over charged. Things were great until our bill came, and we discovered that our beers were all at full price. After a long wait the server fixed that, but then we also discovered that the sauce we had been offered for our crawfish bread was a $7 add on. Don’t ask me if I want a sauce on something unless you also tell me there’s an added price. It would also have been nice to known ice teas cost extra for refills. I would have gladly paid both if someone would have told me before hand.
