The food was definitely overrated, we ordered 7 different things off the menu and we actually only liked one thing we ordered which was the soup of the day.Don't

First stop on our honeymoon. We went straight there from the airport and loved everything about it. Delicious food and drinks, and a pleasant atmosphere. Sure, it's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. It was an experience.

We liked the atmosphere, but didn't love the service. We ordered the blue crab beignets, alligator Bolognese, and rabbit. Everything was fine, but not great. I had to send the Bolognese back because my egg was hard boiled instead of soft boiled. It took 6-7 minutes for someone (not our waiter) to notice something was wrong and ask what needed to be fixed. Even after I got my new dish our actual waiter still hadn't checked in to see how things were. I would not recommend this restaurant.

This place was great, it had really good drinks and great food. The blue crab beignets were surprisingly good, especially with a squeeze of lemon. I got the shellfish stew and it was to die for. It was better than expected.

I really like the food at La Petite but I find the temperature of the food not ideal. The LPG Cheeseburger was lukewarm. The french fries were perfect. The soup I had was delicious but some of it was really hot and other areas were good temperature as if it was put in a microwave but not stirred before serving it.

I specified in my reservation that my partner has a dairy allergy and this was perhaps the first time in all of our dining experience that the waitress was aware by actually reading the reservation notes. That alone is worthy of praise. Additionally, she was very kind, patient, helpful, and answered all of our questions. The food was fantastic as always - blue crab beignets are a must, and the Lamb shank was excellent.

Excellent from start to finish. The blue crab beignets are wonderful, the cornmeal crusted drum with butter hot sauce was fantastic! This is our “go to brunch spot” whenever we visit New Orleans!!!

During our mini trip to New Orleans, my husband and I were fortunate enough to experience a meal at La Petite Grocery. Despite having reservations for 7:00pm, our early arrival at 5:30pm was warmly welcomed by the gracious host, who promptly accommodated us.From the moment we stepped in, the ambience exuded warmth and charm, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the three-course dinner, which was just absolutely delicious! Each dish was masterfully crafted, bursting with flavor and expertly presented. Every bite was a testament to the chef's skill. To complement our meal, we indulged in some of the most exquisite drinks we've ever tasted.Overall, our experience at La Petite Grocery surpassed all expectations. The impeccable service, delectable food and drinks, and inviting atmosphere combined to create a truly unforgettable evening. Without hesitation, we wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting New Orleans. We are already eagerly anticipating our next trip back!

One of the best meals we had in New Orleans. We had heard a lot about Petite Grocery so were pretty hyped for our meal, and it didn't disappoint. We wanted to try everything, but settled with cocktails, the blue crab beignets, gulf shrimp & grits and the fish special that day. Everything was fantastic, but we both could not stop eating those grits! Wow. It was rich, creamy and comforting but it had texture & tasted like fresh corn, so didn't feel heavy at all. The crab beignets were also memorable. Again, for a pretty rich dish, it didn't feel heavy. It was filled with crab and the aioli had a good amount of acidity to balance it. Our least favourite dish was the pecan tart was had for dessert, which was just ok.The service was great. I'm a slow eater and even though it was a weekend, wasn't made to feel rushed. I would 100% go again.

Delicious, fresh, great ambiance. This is a really special spot with a deep history that is really doing hospitality right. Highly recommend.

My husband and I took our daughter and five friends to celebrate her 21st birthday. The food was fabulous and the service excellent. The staff treated my daughter and her friends so well. Can't wait to go back!
