The staff and atmosphere are very nice, but unfortunately it seems they have been hit by supply chain issues or something...their prices have gone up while their quality has gone down- flavor is still good, but there was way too much rice and not enough sushi ingredients on the rolls. I don't like writing a bad review, but I feel like I need to warn people

I hadn't been to Lotus since they closed during Covid. A newly remodeled dinning room and the familiar Sushi bar was a treat. The freshness of the seafood was right on. Some new dishes were wonderful and the attention shown by the staff was the best. Betty is the chef/owner and is very proud to offer suggestions and tips of how the recipes are made. Try the Fireman Mike roll and the Sushi pizza but don't skip the Sushi and Sashimi. Gouza soup was extremely good

Always a great meal. It has changed to more of a lounge vibe which is cool except the drunk people in there were so loud we couldn't hear each other at the sushi bar.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience here, we sat outside and started with a couple of their wonderful cocktails. I had the Socialite, with gin, elderflower, and cucumber, perfect for a summer evening. My wife had the FOMO, it has pineapple, turmeric, vodka and it was delicious, earthy and refreshing as described. The sushi was fantastic also and our waitress was funny, fun and she made some good recommendations also. We'll be back for sure.

We ate at Lotus Bistro tonight and were very impressed with the food and staff. The manager greeted us after we sat down, which was nice. All of the staff were very attentive and friendly. The kimono roll and lotus roll were very fresh and tasted delicious. As we were leaving, the manager gave us some bamboo chopsticks. We will definitely be back to eat at Lotus Bistro again!

Hands down the absolute BEST SUSHI I’ve ever eaten anywhere on earth and I’ve travelled the world. Everything we’ve ever ordered has been delicious, seriously, but some of our go-to’s include, but are in no way limited to: Tomoe Gozen Roll (soy paper), Masako Katsura Roll (Eat Fit Certified!), Chef’s Special Roll (mix of deliciousness), Stuffed Jalapeños for an app and Tempura Cheesecake for dessert (perfect combo of sweet/salt + crunch/cream + warm/cold of all time). On top of it all, the customer service is second to none. The owner and her staff couldn’t be more friendly or accommodating. Trust me on this one, folks!

So super yummy. Service was top notch. Presentation perfect. I picked up, and I can’t wait to return to dine in and enjoy the quaint atmosphere. A hidden gem w some of the best sushi I’ve had in New Orleans.

I cannot recommend this place enough!! The sushi is so fresh you can tell the difference compared to other places. All their sauces are made in house which I thought was cool. The owner even came to our table and chatted with us and even told us her story/background. She's so sweet! The spicy edamame and the gyoza were so good. Something to keep in mind that it's not traditional seating, they have a small sushi bar and some sofas with coffee tables, plus outdoor seating. I can't wait to go back to try some of the other rolls. This is a hidden Lakeview gem!!

Fabulous! Lovely service. The salmon sashimi was so fresh. We had two house rolls, Lotus and the pool shark lady roll (not it’s real name) were delicious. Happy hour from 4:00. We’ll be back!

Delicious and quite experimental. The sushi pizza and zesty lemon are my favorites but the desserts are amazing too

Came here for a yelp elite event. Would give 3.5 stars. They had outdoor seating with benches and a canopy as the interior was still closed. We ordered on an online menu and got the dragon roll, the mineko iwasaki roll, and zesty salmon roll, as well as some complimentary fish tacos for the event. The rolls came in a to-go styrofoam box. I understand Covid precautions and having it be more convenient, but would have preferred a nicer presentation. The dragon roll that had snow crab, cucumber, bbq eel, avocado ell sauce and sesame seeds. It was pretty delicious, however I was pretty disappointed that only half the roll had bbq eel on top, and the very little eel on the roll was so thin you could barely taste it. I expected that the eel would be the star of the roll, but instead it seemed just a side thought. The zesty salmon roll had salmon, snow crab, lemon zest, and spicy ponzu. I couldn't really taste the lemon zest, so it was kind of just like a salmon and snow crab roll. The mineko iwasaki roll had spicy snow crab, tuna, avocado, cucumber, chefs special sauce, masago. I would say that out of all three rolls the mineko iwasaki roll was my favorite. The green onion added a nice twist to an otherwise pretty regular roll. In all three rolls the rice was a bit dry and the rolls easily fell apart. Overall, this sushi was decent but not really worth the price we paid. All three were "specials" and $15 -18 per roll. The best part of the meal was honestly the fish tacos that the chef made for the event. Would recommend coming here at least once to try it out though!

I visited as part of a very generous Yelp elite experience during which we received free fish tacos and a very nice pair of wooden chopsticks. Dining is outside only in a parking area with picnic tables covered by white canopies. There are no fans or misters under the canopies, and the air does not move. If you visit during the lunch hours, you will be hot. While I knew that I was arriving at 11:30 am (when they open), I never thought it would take a full hour for me to receive two items (it was only one couple and me at this time). I honestly thought I was going to pass out and was starting to worry about heatstroke, and I'm a person that loves the heat. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll (8.95) and the panko crusted tilapia tacos (14.95). The plate presentation was beautiful, but the taste of the somewhat pricey food didn't match the presentation. As another reviewer stated, the rolls weren't wrapped tightly and fell apart when I picked them up. The fish tacos had almost no substance - two very small pieces of fish and some slaw. By the time I received the fish tacos (one hour after ordering), all I wanted to do was leave. I was not even being provided water refills. Maybe the server (who was very nice) was also cooking our food? I don't know if they are severely understaffed or what the issue is, but I've visited other restaurants during this same time frame and not had similar problems. Also, we were provided with a clipboard full of articles on the restaurant and the owner. While that was very interesting, you have to look up the menu on your phone. PLEASE provide paper menus! As we get older, reading our phones for restaurant menus (while outside especially) is very difficult.
