Visited Mandina’s as part of a birthday celebration for my nephew. My wife and I split a muffuletta and fries as we had had a larger lunch. The Muffuletta was good as were the fries. Everyone else in our party had one of Mandina’s variations on spaghetti and all enjoyed their meal. Appetizers of fried onion rings and crawfish cakes were quite tasty. Service was good. A little pricy, but again, the restaurant is in the Mid City ward of New Orleans. Worth checking out!

Great food! My wife and I recently visited New Orleans and rode the trolley cars around. When we got hungry we got off and walked here. It has a cool local feel and is much quieter than downtown NOLA. The shrimp remoulade was an awesome appetizer! We also enjoyed the Creole shrimp and the fried softshell crab. Prices were pretty reasonable as well. We had a great time! Definitely recommend!

The food was amazing. The portions are huge. There is usually a wait but they get you in in a reasonable time. The service was great as well and it has a mom and pop feel atmosphere.

Quintessential New Orleans on a residential strip of Canal Street. Casual, huge portions, family atmosphere. Big groups go to a plain dining room, but smaller parties sit in the big, interestingly decorated main salon. Can get loud after 7. Daquan (sic) was excellent.

$47.00++ for an oyster/shrimp poboy!!!!Are you kidding....stop hiding behind "market prices" and put the prices on the menu...absolutely not worth $47.00...and fix the air conditioning in the side room which has been broken for a over year...this restaurant has had its issues in the past, management and ownership is not paying attention. As a local, you have so much going for you, please do the right thing.Vegetarian options: Salads, pasta dishes....not much else.Parking: All free....for now!Lot behind building fills up fast.Park on streets easier.

A true New Orleans neighborhood restaurant. What's not to like?
I absolutely love this restaurant. The food and service is excellent. I’ve tried the catfish, shrimp, fried chicken, red beans and rice, and onion rings. The French bread/garlic bread is so light and airy…delicious! I loved it all! I come here every time I’m in NOLA! Can’t wait to return.
