Website shows them to be open but they’re actually closed. Came from out of town and wasted an Uber.

"An exceptional experience at 1912! Tweety, our server, was amazing. The endless mimosas were delightful, and the food was fantastic. The chicken and waffles were beyond compare - the best I've ever had. A perfect brunch spot with top-notch service and delicious offerings. Can't wait to return!"

Our first time in New Orleans It was an amazing service….the hookah lady Tweety was on point. She gave us history information about New Orleans and about the restaurant. I most definitely will return. The bartender Myi made us feel like we was home. You must try the chicken and waffle & shrimp and grits.

Paid for a reservation from 5-7pm. Arrived at 5:03pm and the business was not open. Google said open and the site allowed reservation two days prior. No answer from the numbers listed on the website.

called and spoke with Kim the manager personally. She gave us a reservation for 6. We arrived at 645p and were seating. No one came and waited on us for more than 10/15 mins. The table was only for four people although our reservation was for 6. We were smushed and one of the chairs was placed back towards a stair. Dangerous. Kim approached our table and basically said we had to move because she had reserved that table for another party of 6. we had already told another waiter that we hadn't been waited on for food nor drink orders. Instead of taking our order Kim told us we had to move. Service was not professional nor friendly. 0/10 don't recommend. we left.

Great experience! I visited New Orleans for my birthday in October and came here with a group to try the Hookah. The Hookah lady was very helpful and answered all the questions by brother-in-law had. Also the service was amazing, super welcoming and attentive.

This place was a vibe. Cute spot to chill and the hookah was 1 of the best hookah I ever smoked. Only wish they had more bartenders and waitresses.

I liked the atmosphere.. the food was great! What I didn't like was the bathroom it was small and smelly. I didn't like the fact that you have to pay 35 to make a reservation, and there is a service charge that is not a tip and it doesn't go to the server.

A nice "lounge." My wife and I were looking for a new dining experience. MCMXII fit the description. I had started following the site on IG a day earlier to get a feel for the vibe. It's on a restaurant centric block on Magazine St., so I was kinda taken aback when the door security person asked to pat me down prior to entry. I expressed that I had never been patted down to enter a restaurant. And questioned if this would be a good spot to grab a meal. Both he and the hosted educated us that it was a hookah lounge that served food. It catered to a customer base 25 and above. Clearly, we met that criteria. They showed us the QR menu, and we decided to grab a bite.We were impressed by how they fashioned the building to fit their business needs. We were led to a dining area on the second floor. There was a bar and balcony seating available. The dining area had mounted tvs and was arranged to accommodate both dining and hookah use. The ventilation system was outstanding considering the hookah use around us.The house drinks were unique and flavorful. We shared the Seafood Egg Rolls for our appetizer. They were filling and tasteful. The four could've been my entrée. My wife had the chicken tacos. They were served with a taco dipping sauce that she couldn't stop raving about. I enjoyed the lamb chops with flavored mash potatoes and asparagus. The lamb chops were dripping with a BBQ sauce, and the asparagus were seasoned and perfectly cooked. Meaning not too hard or soft.It was an overall good experience. Our waitress was very attentive. The caution I would advise is that THE 18% GRATUITY IS ALREADY ADDED TO THE BILL. This wasn't advised prior to me adding a 20% tip. So, her total tip was over $40.

First off the food was good. We had the grits with lamb chops and salmon. Drink was good as well. However they added the 18% service charge without any notification. On top of that I left an additional 20% tip because I didn’t know about the service charge. I’m fine with paying it but the transparency wasn’t there. I guess the guy who was outside was the owner. My wife asked about it and he said it’s on parties of “4 to 6”. Well my cousin was there before us with his wife and he had a service charge as well. He was talking to his employees about the service charge and he was kinda rude about it discussing it loudly as if I had a problem paying it. I’m all for paying whatever your establishment charges but let your patrons know.
