Great little spot for breakfast in the quarter. The ladies serving are all very nice and it’s relatively affordable for the location. Don’t forget to add the Cajun Tasso to your grits!Wheelchair accessibility: It’s the French quarter, so getting there may be a challenge, but I found them to be very accommodating to wheelchair-bound customers.

10/10 service but the food was pretty boring. We had the catfish platter and muffuletta poboy. Bother were pretty bland and unexciting.

Very sweet waitress, sorry I didn't get your name. She made me comfortable as I was by myself. I absolutely wanted to try the crab cakes. And well I wasn't disappointed. Very good and fresh and that sauce, damnit ?? sweet and caring service I really appreciate as I work in customer service myself. Very decent price. I had a look at others customer's plate and everything looked absolutely tasty and smelled divine. I wish I had spent more time to try more things. Thanks again

We were staying at the Wyndam Hotel (April 4,5,6,7,8), and it is literally around the corner! We asked the front desk staff and two of them said Mena's (in unison?!?!?!). 200 St Chartres. Ok, so they liked Mena's. We also asked a pedicab driver - again Mena! So, we tried it. So glad we found it early in our vacation. We were there for all breakfasts from then on. Great food, great employees - felt like home. Unfortunately, we didn't discover their lunch menu until the last day (try the muffaletta - I wanted to take some home!) It was so soft and flavorful. Lots of options too. While it didn't affect us - they have a bar, too!The servers were very positive and friendly! The two we used (and enjoyed) were Dymond and Jamayra. Mena only does breakfast/lunch and that is fine. However, we would have lived there if they did dinner too!Not fancy-shmansy but clean, friendly and very good food. We will be back!Lou R

This place was okay. The food wasn't bad, however it also wasn't anything spectacular. Prices were okay. I drawn by the Friday crab cake lunch special on the menu, but they were out. I ordered a poboy and it was a good size. No kids menu. No sweet tea. So my 9 year old was not happy. She ended up ordering a baked potato for her meal. Husband had the red beans and rice. He's definitely had better in New Orleans. Waitress was obviously new. My husband and I both worked many years in food service and agreed that she won't make it long. We probably would not eat here again when visiting NOLA.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. No kids menu.

I come here every time I’m in NOLA. The food and staff are wonderful. The cook sometimes lets me order the lunch items or lunch specials a little earlier because I’m not a big breakfast lover if it’s almost 10. She has heated up the fryer just for me to fry fish or chicken in the morning. That’s excellent customer service! I love the fried chicken, fried catfish, fried shrimp, red beans and rice and Lima beans. My husband loves the hot sausage and smothered potatoes. Fair prices and you get a big portion size. I’m never hungry here. It’s pretty small and can get busy pretty quickly sometimes but, me and my husband love it.

Very nice place. All American vibes. Love all about it. We here from Denmark all think this was one of the better places we eat.

Shrimp poboy was good, but I wish the veins and shells were removed from the shrimp. I thought that was a little weird. I think we had a new server so a few things were forgotten but all

Whatever the wait time is, it's worth it. The staff is SO sweet and you can tell they love their food and their place. I haven't eaten red beans and rice so enthusiastically since the last time I saw my grandma. I had the daily special with fried chicken and a cup of seafood gumbo. The fried chicken was easily the best I've had; juicy, crispy, and has you licking your fingers**Just wanted to add they prefer not to take Discover Credit but the lady was an absolute sweetheart bc it was all I had

Hello everyone! I haven't even received my meal yet so I can't speak to the food. What I can review so far is our service from the door. We arrived with 4 people, and we were first in line. We are in NOLA with a large group celebrating my sister's 50th birthday! Part of our group was already seated when we arrived. Two tables became available at the same time when it was our turn to come in. Just then, 3 more in our party text to say they were close. So since there wasn't anyone else in line, we decided to take both tables to accommodate the other 3 in our party. When they arrived there were 3 people in line. We had 4 seats available, but they were not allowed to sit with us. The Owner dug in her heels and refused to let them sit with us. I don't know what everyone else thinks about that. I think it's horrible customer service and bad business at the same time. Not only was she willing to let 2 tables be filled with 4 people, but she couldn't make an exception for a large group bringing business to her establishment. We reluctantly decided to stay so as not to break up our group. We combined tables to help speed up our family getting in sooner. The food was okay. We won't be back. We have had amazing hospitality at every other restraunt we have been to despite their policy regarding large groups. The owner said she doesn't take reservations, and that's why she couldn't let our family sit with us

This is an iconic New Orleans landmark with the best muffuletta in New Orleans. Very reasonably priced. Their breakfast is always
