We walked by several times before deciding to stop in on our last night here.We were seated quickly, but that was the only quick thing. It was about 15 minutes before our server finally came to get our drink order. By then, we were ready to order. The server took our order. We ordered the Fried Green Tomato Stack as an appetizer. My husband ordered the Southern Fried meal, I got the breaded porkchop special, and my mom got the grilled pork chop special. The server told us it was a 25 minute wait for the Fried chicken. We told her that was fine. The tomatoes came out and they were great, although you only get 4 tomatoes and 2 small pieces of shrimp. We waited over 40 minutes for the rest of our food. My husband's food was completely wrong. He was supposed the get fried chi ken, catfish, shrimp, and jambalaya. We didn't get half the items included in the meal, just a plate with Fried chicken. The server said "well, I can ring in a side of jambalaya"....that was already supposed to be with the meal! He waited over 20 minutes for the right meal. When the jambalaya finally came out, the bowl burned his finger. He went to put it in the box to take home (since everyone else was already done) and the entire bottom of the jambalaya was burnt and rock hard. The server brought the check and said the manager would not comp any part of the meal. When my husband asked to speak to the manager, the server flatout said "no". My husband said "what...why?" She replied "I don't want to deal with that".... she reluctantly went to get him. We explained what happened, and he did offer to comp $20 off a $100 meal.We thought this was where it would end....nope. The sever never came back to the table so we could pay. My husband gave his bank card and the check to the manager. We sat there for 20 minutes...and no one returned with his card. He went to the front to figure out what was going on, and was told no one could find his card! They finally found the card after a few minutes, we paid our bill and left.By far some of the WORST service we have ever had. Definitely a disappointing end to our stay in NOLA.

The food was pretty good. The only complaint is the Crawfish Etouffee was more like a puree than a gravy. The flavor was good though.

We came in like a hurricane. No pun intended…. They were on top of all of us. Great food, great service. Everyone was working for the guest's in the building. Not a bad dish on the menu. Thank you for the experience.

In a time when service, even in the south, has taken steps back; it's refreshing to receive above expected. The atmosphere is worthy of a visit.

Once we got there we were seated promptly. Our server comes over a few minutes later and takes our drink order. It was over 10 minutes and she brings up water. She asked us if we’re ready to order. I told her we ordered sweet teas but we’ll go ahead and give you our order while you’re here. ( I could see where things were headed) About another 8 minutes later she brings our teas and says she just put our order in. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. Maybe the kitchen was backed up idk. I could see multiple cooks and it wasn’t too busy in the restaurant. Food was decent.

Staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. Food was good. Went with the Chicken Fricassee and it was delicious. Chicken was fried perfectly. Onions and gravy just added to it, so did the mac and cheese! My wife had the fried seafood platter. There was enough to share a couple of bites, and it was also perfect! Would eat here again!

Stopped here for a quick bite as we were walking around exploring NOLA. We were told that if we were going to be in NOLA we had to try some chargrilled oysters and this seemed to be as good a place as any to try them. We wanted to do a little bit of this and that and our server was patient with us as we tried some side dishes and drinks. Nothing disappointed and I would recommend this as a place to grab a bite if in that area of town.

Mr Ed's is the place !! For your oyster eats !!Its the small details that makes it stand out. The variety of styles of oysters. The plating and details like fresh french bread toast points. Lots of seafood dishes & daily specials. Some land lubber favorites. Our waiter Caitlyn was fantastic !! A small point to note. They automatically add on a 20 % tip and a surcharge if you use a credit card. All worth it in my opinion.Parking: Parking behind building and on streetentyKid-friendliness: Plenty of single age kids in the restaurant

I was invited to Mr. Ed's Saturday before Easter. Sandy ordered white beans with pork chop and I got the creole pasta. The beans were OK but the pork was favorable and juicy, but OMG the corn bread was Fantastic. My pasta was full of sausage, shrimp and crawfish in a cream sauce. Topping off a great meal with peach cobbler was the cherry. It was warm, delicious with vanilla ice cream! An excellent meal and staff that makes this a restaurant great place to dine.
