I really wanted to like this place. I ordered a shrimp poboy. I have had shrimp many times in many different places. I don't know the reason but the taste of the shrimp.was overwhelming and not in a good way. It left a bad after taste as someone else mentioned. I took the breading of and they don't even devain the shrimp. I took two bites and I was done.

This is my second time coming to NOLA and I came back to this spot because of John. I was last here 3 years ago and he gave me one of the best services ever. He topped that today. He was so accommodating and friendly, teaching us so much about to culture of New Orleans and giving us some praline ice cream he made for us just because. The food is also so lovely. Amazing, filling, and tasty!! All the other staff there is also so friendly, checking in on us and also giving us sauces to try with our poboys and just getting to know us all together. The atmosphere is great too, with hand picked New Orleans style decor John and the others have accumulated over the years. This is a spot I will always come to when I visit NOLA. Thank you John for leaving the most amazing impression :).

One of my favorite food spots in NOLA. Better variety than any other poboy shop. Gator Spicy is my jam, boudin balls are exceptional, pair with a sno cone and a cup of gumbo for dippin' and you've got all the NOLA in your belly you could wish for. Wall decor is local art and ceiling is covered in concert posters. Great service, food cooked to-order always fresh never sitting around lingering under a heat lamp.
Trying to have a conversation about placing a pick up order for 11 on a Monday. We’ve got a tight schedule but everyone in my group loved the poboys and wanted another before we had to catch the plane home. Uber pick up is at 11:30 and Nola is a 15 minute walk from my hotel, I was willing to risk it. But I tried to call in at 10:45 and before I could explain myself was told “you sure can place an order at 11” and then clicked on. Poboys are good but not that good.

So, I usually don't bother writing negative reviews about restaurants, bars, or eateries because I believe everyone can have an off day or a singular bad experience. But let me tell you, this place is the exception—it couldn't get any worse, and the food couldn't be any better on any other day!We went for lunch, and the place was surprisingly quiet. We ordered a fried shrimp po-boy and another one with fried soft shell crab, along with fried okra as a side. My disappointment was enormous from the very first bite of the shrimp po-boy. The shrimp were almost raw, and left a terrible aftertaste. After that disappointment, I decided to set aside my sandwich and try the crab, hoping it would salvage my lunch. Unfortunately, it was even worse—the overpowering fish oil taste completely masked any flavor of the crab. What a terrible experience! The only decent item was the okra, which ended up being my lunch. I wish establishments like this would make a small effort to improve their offerings. With so many good places offering po-boys in the French Quarter, I honestly can't see any reason why anyone would accept to eat such bad food!

The poboys left a little bit to be desired. The meat was sparce and they were dry.
Super friendly restaurant, very well located. Very tasty and well served food. I went there more than once during my stay, the Po' boys are great. Greetings from Brazil!

We had a muffuletta to go. My husband is allergic to shrimp and we noticed the note in caps on our order. It was good to know they were taking care of that. The sandwich was good. A bit oily, but I think that's part of the fun. I saved half for the next day. :-)

We ordered two poboys from here. The who dat poboy was really good, as well as the catfish poboy. The first one, though, was top-notch. We also got an order of fried ochre and boudin balls. The boudin balls were delicious, too. To top it off, we ordered ice cream.
The BEST late-night noboys, im so grateful for you all and your consistency!!!
The food was great. The service was good.
