Great vibes. Musty smell, but added to the vibes. Pool table and darts. Stage setup for live music, but none was playing tonight. Right along the river so a great place to stop if you’re in the area or going for a walk. Quintessential Algiers.

This is the most iconic dive bar in America imo. FYI for tourists, 18 year olds can legally drink as long as your parent is there and consents.

Homophobic barmaids beware! Not gay friendly in any sense of the word. Stay away!

The drinks were amazing! Service was above and beyond! Bar tender even gave me a bandaid for my spot where my shoe was rubbing. If you've been to NOLA many times and are looking for a different place to visit I would say this is worth a stop. The neighborhood streets that you walk down are dripping with that NOLA charm we all love and the bar is just what you would expect, OLD and a staple of its community. We all wish we had a place like this in our home town! The ferry ride is kind of cool too.

A wonderful old bar with live music. Worth taking the ferry over to experience this spot on a Friday or Saturday night---we stayed for several hours and through two musical acts, and really enjoyed the crowd. The bartender was extremely nice. We had food from another local spot, and she let us eat it there. The other patrons were great, mostly locals and a few friendly dogs.

Awesome spot. Caught the ferry across from New Orleans to Algiers Point and whilst walking around the area came across this bar. What an absolute gem. The air conditioning advertised on the exterior signage actually refers to the open windows. Brilliant! Frequented by tourists and locals alike., always a good sign.

Stopped in here while visiting a college buddy in NOLA. I love holes-in-the-wall bars with lots of personality and history. This place is exactly that. You can tell that a lot of people have had a lot of drunk'n fun in there over the years.

We love this bar. We go every time we're in New Orleans (it's actually in Algiers Point). Great atmosphere, friendly staff, mostly locals, live music ?
