Outstanding food! Probably the best jerk chicken I've had! Service was okay - could've refilled waters and they didn't get me a receipt, but the owner came and talked and was great. A little generic in the atmosphere, but not bad. Overall would go again, for sure.

Me and my family went here to eat one day on a Trip to New Orleans. We are originally from Trinidad and Tobago, but live in Tallahasse, Fl, so finding a good trini restaurant always reminds us of home. I’ve eaten at Trini/Caribbean restaurants in Miami and Atlanta, but Ms Lisa is the real deal!!!! Food was 10/10. Doubles was 10/10(Cucumber sauce included!). Curry chicken 10/10! The meat was juicy and fell off the bone. I highly recommend this place. It is a very clean restaurant and Ms. Lisa is the best!

I can truly say this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining in. The service was wonderful. Truly kind humans and the food…. Oh man the food! Incredible! Affordable! Best food I’ve had in New Orleans by a long shot, hands down, no contest.The first day we showed up late and they had just sold out of jerk chicken. We got the curry chicken and the doubles box. Both were incredible. I’d never had anything quite like the double box flat bread. So soft and juicy. Messy…. Very messy, but I didn’t care.The first meal was so good we came back the next day for lunch and had the jerk chicken. It was the perfect balance of sweat, savory, and spicy. Queen Trini Lisa will forever be on my short list. I’m sad I live 3000 miles away.

Hibiscus drink was good. Rice and peas was good as well as the plantain. Good portion of chicken curry but it could use a little bit more salt. It was almost to the point of being bland but overall four out of five.Vegetarian options: The vegetables, and plantain

What a treasure of a restaurant nestled right cozy in the neighborhood. It's a gem!! Excellent food, service and vibe. I overly enjoyed the curry goat with rice and peas, cabbage, plantains and Caribbean spinach A+++ for all and the Sorrel tea was delicious also. Highly recommend and will be back regularly.

All of the food we had here was fantastic! The fish is fried to perfection, and the doubles box and its sauces are filling and tasty. Definitely an authentic taste of the food from Trinidad, if my opinion as an American is anything to go by. The server was friendly and upbeat, as well.
