If you're thinking about eating here, do yourself a favor and just don't. Unless you're a fan of flavorless food, then hey, this might be your spot! It's like a sad foodie adventure where the jalapeño chicken is the hero in a sea of blandness. The Mongolian beef? Overcooked drama. The lo mein? Missing in action... seasoning-wise. And don't get me started on the fried rice - it's just 'meh.' The orange chicken? Mostly just a batter-up disappointment. And oh, and the egg roll reminded me of a communion wafer. It's a flavor fiasco all around!

Picked up to-go food one night and will never go to another place again! By far the best eggroll I've ever had

Small little kitchen but very nice service and food was quick and fresh! Generals chicken had a nice kick to it.

Food ready hot and just like old Chinese restaurants. Service good. Not much for a small strip mall but clean and polite

I have been coming here since I was in college. Let me tell you the quality and portion size has not changed one bit which I appreciate. I typically get the general tso chicken dinner platter which is like $12 and it comes with the chicken, shrimp fried rice and an egg roll. My food was delicious! I could drink the sauce for the chicken because it’s so good. Since they give you a good amount this usually lasts me a couple of days. Also, the woman that was working the front when I came in was so sweet. Plus I got my food in about 10min or so. Highly recommend this restaurant if you want delicious and affordable Chinese food.Parking: They have a small parking lot that they share with other businesses so sometimes it is a struggle to find parking.

I was disappointed. This is definitely a take out restaurant. There is no table service. They do not have ice for your drinks. The employees were nice and the portions were large, but i will definitely not be going back. The food quality was average.

start with egg rolls and deep fried wontons tasted like they are out of a box .Asked the waitress they don't make them in the restaurant. maybe Costco not sure rest of the food not good .. over priced and under feed . what a waste of 60.00 on three dishes we couldn't eat . what a poor place it has become ....

My favorite part about Red Star is not just the fact that they have so many great vegetarian options, but that they really know how to use produce. There are no rubbery mushrooms, no uncooked greens, no big chunks. Every ingredient is incorporated perfectly, like the thin ribbons of cabbage that come on the general tso's tofu/chicken. Everything I've had is like this! If you go to Red Star to pick up or dine in what you'll find is a very small space, with just two tables. That's typical for takeout restaurants, but what sets Red Star apart is just how clean and organized it is. Absent is the clutter or grime I associate with takeout places, in its place there's clean floors, clear windows, and a wall of real, living plants! The lady who runs the counter is nice. She communicates well, packages the food securely, and is amenable to special requests like "I want an extra 8oz container of general tso's sauce." Service like that is just great. Red Star may not be fancy, but it is the tastiest, most consistent takeout I've ever had. Best of all, it's still cheap! I'll be a loyal customer as long as they're in town.
