The ambiance at this place was fantastic with live music and outdoor seating. However, it was overly crowded, so we couldn't stay. Despite sitting at a corner table near the entrance, no one checked on us, forcing us to leave disappointed. While I'm unsure about returning to New Orleans, if I do, I might consider giving them another chance.

First timer, ordered a roast beef poboy, mushrooms ponoy and ginger beer. Too a minute to order because the bar was BUSY and packed. Also took a minute to get the food but I went on a Friday after work time. Worth the wait! The roast beef poboy is NOT the deli stuff. It's that potroast style that you pull apart and add to some soft poboy bread. We got the gravy on the side which was a plus so the bread wouldn't get soggy. I had the mushrooms poboy and it was really good. I hate they forgot to put the onions on it but it was still good. The fries were good and hot. There is some kind of sauce they give you that should be marketed In bottles. Overall, I highly recommend. Now I understand why they are always packed.

Another awesome trip to Rivershack! The walls always have my eyes in a gaze checking out the decor. Service is top notch with even better food. I noticed they have live music on Friday and Saturday nights! Well make sure to return and check it out on a lively weekend.

Went there last night standing room only nowhere to sit and no dance floor they had a band in the bartenders cannot handle the capacity could not be served tried to get a drink could not be served bartenders can't handle a full house

There was a Steak special on Tuesday. The baked potato was delicious. We ordered two. The drinks were great. We enjoy that this restaurant is in the neighborhood.
