Permanently closed. Walked 20 minutes to learn this. Yelp can do better. 2nd time this has happened on this trip.

9 weeks ago, during our return road trip back to Atlanta, we stopped in New Orleans for an overnight stay. One of the places we visited was Sorella5 for dinner. I picked out this family-owned restaurant after seeing all of the great Yelp reviews, and thought it was great that we could walk the three blocks to the restaurant from our hotel. We walked in and were immediately warmly greeted by the host. Although we didn't have reservations, we had the option of either waiting for a table or sitting at the bar and being served by the bartender. We were hungry after being on the road since morning, so we opted to sit at the bar, which turned out to be a great choice. The bartender was also our server. She gave us menus and brought our silverware and linen napkins. While the bartender stepped away from us to make drinks for other customers, the hostess came by and asked us what we were going to order. R told her that he was interested in the jambalaya or the red beans and rice, so the hostess recommended "The Trio" which was an entree that included a cup of chicken and andouille gumbo, red beans and rice, jambalaya and garlic toast. That's exactly what we ordered when the bartender returned to take our order, in addition to a salad that we split. When our plates were served, honestly, I was a little bummed because it didn't look like much food. The disappointment soon disappeared while I was eating, when I realized that the food is heavy and very stick-to-your-ribs filling. The food was perfect - all of it! The food was piping hot when we started eating. The gumbo was, as expected, thick and a little salty, and the chunks of andouille in it had great flavor. The red beans and rice, even though they had texture, were smooth and tasted so good. The jambalaya had a nice spiciness to it, and both of the garlic toast had a delicate crispness to it. We also loved our fresh salads. When we ordered the salad, I told the bartender we were going to split the salad, but we each received our salads in bowls, making this more convenient for us. This meal was delicious and done so well! I thought the place looked great with a upscale casual look and feel - very nice yet still comfy. The bar is well stocked and has some beers on tap. There is a TV monitor in the bar area, and two TV monitors in the dining areas. All three monitors were tuned to sports channels. Our service was outstanding! Even though the bartender was making drinks for the everyone in the restaurant, she managed to take the time to provide excellent service to us and everyone else at the bar, periodically checking on to see how our food was, asking us if we needed anything, refilling our glasses with water, iced tea and Sprite without even being prompted by us, and stealthily taking away our dirty dishes. The jovial hostess even came around and checked on us a couple of times during our meal. Even Laurie, one of the 5 sisters/owners of this restaurant, came around to many of the customers, including us, and asked us about our food. She spent some time to talk with us, and answered my many questions about the restaurant, the restaurant and the food. Great overall dining experience! Thank you, Laurie and the rest of the Mollere sisters, and the entire Sorella5 team, for providing such a strong customer focus.

We had a group of 7 arrive late to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. They were very accommodating of our group & had us seated within minutes. The restaurant is owned and operated by 5 sisters as was explained to us by one of the owners. They use their own family recipes and cook the food themselves. Everything we had was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals & drinks, the atmosphere and the friendly staff. You should absolutely eat here!!❤️??

Sorella5 was fantastic! The restaurant was very clean with a pleasant atmosphere! One of the sister owners was making rounds checking on everyone’s experience and sharing her story. The food was great! The trio dish was tasty as well as the marinara & meatballs! The price of our meal was a great value.

Nice for lunch. Clean space and nicely appointed. Service was good. Bar looks large and inviting. The entrée salad was nice, but the dressing had too much vinegar. The meatballs were good, and not fully of crappy filler breadcrumbs like a lot of restaurants use. Wishing these sisters the best in their endeavors

Amazing food, customer service is the best. We meat the owners at the end of our meal and they are the nicest people you will meet. Will be back here again.

This place was awesome. My partner and I came across this place for lunch and stopped in. We split a poboy and some apps and ate every single bite! Service was amazing and the owner even stopped by our table to check in on us. Even better, it is owned by 5 sisters and they rocked it! Will totally be back!!!

The food was very good. We arrived an hour early for our reservation but they went ahead and seated us. It is very small but cozy. The meatballs were AMAZING!! I had a power salad which was ok-good. My husband had the gumbo and it was very good.

My husband and I were in New Orleans for a concert. I like trying new places...saw the reviews on Sorella5 and decided to give it a go. Best choice ever! Upon arriving early to the restaurant we sat at one of the tables outside to wait...we were immediately greeted by one of the sisters (Sorella is Sister in Italian the sister told us). She was so very friendly...as soon as they opened she came out to invite us inside. The food was amazing. My husband and I split a bowl of Chicken and Sausage Gumbo - we usually don't like other people's gumbo....it was delicious. We enjoyed our meal and will be going back the next time we are in the city.

I really liked the ambiance and welcoming feel of Sorella5. The owner came by our table twice, once to tell the story of the restaurant and again to see how we liked our food. I found my alligator poboy to be delicious. My wife liked her poboy, but it came as more a meatloaf than meatballs.Appetizer: The Italian Dipper - french bread with marinaraEntrees: (1) Bayou Gator Alligator Sausage Poboy (2) Meatball Mozzerella PoboyAtmosphere/Decor: warm and invitingServer Attentiveness: very goodFood Wait: FastCost/Value: ~$10/ Entree. Great service and great food! One of the 5 sisters came to our table and introduced herself. Make sure to get a reservation before going as it was pretty busy when we went

Wanted to try a new restaurant this visit to New Orleans and I was not disappointed. The food and entire experience at Sorella5 was exceptional. A great family owned establishment. The handmade meatballs, the red beans & rice and the gumbo were AWESOME!!! This is definitely one of my new places to visit whenever I'm in New Orleans. I also loved meeting and talking with The Sisters. ?
