I was visiting New Orleans for 6 weeks and was so happy to have Swirl next door! Such a great, neighborhood wine shop with a nice, affordable selection, great staff, and a comfortable atmosphere. My dog even loved visiting (they have dog treats behind the bar)!

Calm, inviting wine bar with plenty of in-house options and even more to take home. Helpful suggestions by the bartender and also a very dog-friendly spot. Would return again if in the neighborhood.

Great neighborhood spot for wine. I l love their Friday wine tastings. The wine selected is well thought out and diverse. The instructors are approachable and informative - providing detailed information on the region, wine, and winemaker. Highly recommend the tastings - especially at $5 per tasting.

Hoppin spot on a Friday night. Stumble distance across the side street from equally excellent Cafe Degas. Good crowd inside and out. Good prices and light nibble food. Go, observe, order, relax, enjoy.

We love this place! Great wine selection, great service and they do fun wine and cocktail classes! And if you drink here, you can bring in food from next door.

Nice, chill vibe, friendly staff, and delicious wine selection. Especially a nice selection of old world wines. You can buy a bottle, but also order by the glass depending on what they have open. The store/bar has a local vibe. You feel like you're part of the neighborhood when you sit here. Also, on game days, they host watch parties, and they have various wine events during the week.

We sat in here and had a bottle of wine with our meal from 1000 Figs next door last night. The selection was great, the way it was laid out was convenient and fun, and the seating areas were nice! The woman who helped us was very kind and welcoming. It's a great little arrangement they have with the restaurant next door.

Wine selection is pretty good. I stood around waiting for someone to help me or at least ask if I needed help. There was a man who entered after me whom the employee apparently knew that got help right away. Since it's NYE, I just kept my cool and decided to wait by the counter for help. She did help me find wines that I gave away to gifts, and I tipped anyway. (Pictured is four of the five bottles of wine I purchased and the bottle of bourbon I decided not to buy.)

We were visiting family in NOLA and found this little gem within walking distance of our Airbnb. You can enjoy wine by the glass and it's a shop so if you like it you can buy a bottle to go. It is also very dog friendly. We saw quite a few four-legged friends while hanging out.

We stopped at Swirl Wine Bar & Market for a glass of wine between our sightseeing and dinner reservations. We discovered this place when we went to have lunch at 1,000 Figs, which is on the same block. The wine bar is a sweet little wine bar and shop where you can enjoy glasses of wine at the small bar counter or one of the high-top tables. They have a lovely assortment of boutique wines -- red, white, rose, and sparkling from across the globe. You can peruse the various bottles of wine they have available for purchase throughout the store. Additionally, I discovered a cozy area in the back corner with some spirits for sale, specifically, a bottle of Old Fitzgerald 80 that looked like it had been on the shelf for a bit. As a whiskey enthusiast, I couldn't resist picking that up.The vibes at Swirl radiate a relaxing, local hangout to enjoy a glass of wine or two after work, during work, in the evening, or on the weekend. The shopkeepers are courteous and ensure you enjoy your time as if you live on the block.

The woman that looked after me was lovely so no fault here. She was very very nice and helpful.Swirl wine bar also asks for tips after the purchase, which I left given that the clerk was super and I was planning on consuming the bottle there. This review is to the owner of the establishment for charging a $5 corkage fee per bottle for drinking a bottle purchased in the establishment, not a bottle that was bought elsewhere. Talk about a rip off, you are not only charging for the wine and making a killing on it (your margins are through the roof) but also adding a $5 per bottle consumed at the place. Not cool.
