I am in love with this place. So upset I haven't come sooner, especially since I used to live around the corner. Def coming back to keep trying the other items on the menu. Ive had the chicken stew, pierogis, and the blueberry blini. Soooo good!Comfortable and visually pleasing indoors, enjoyed the darkwave playlist that was on. Bartender was lovely.Highly recommend.

Super yummy Slavic food served in an actual green room. :). I felt like I was transported back to Portland, OR. It is so cute and charming and the food is lovely! We shared pierogies, Polish sausage, cabbage rolls, etc.

Hands down my favorite New Orleans restaurant. Yeah, I know that's weird saying that about a Slavic restaurant in this city. But Green Room is just perfect. The food is perfect, every single time. The service is real, not performative. It's a just a chill place to get amazing food and not spend a fortune.If I want the best Creole or Cajun I know where to go. But Green Room is my favorite.
I wish it were just counter service so that nobody who I talked up the food to ever had to deal with the aggressively terrible FOH staff. Seriously. Y'all are the most aggressive, complaining, whiney FOH staff ever. Go away.But the food is OMG so good!.

This is New Orleans one and only Slavic food destination currently. I have been a big fan of this joint since the days when they first started inside Siberia. I was really happy when I heard they had opened up in their own spot. The Green Room Kukhnya is located in New Orleans Treme neighborhood on St. Bernard Avenue. When Kukhnya used to do the food at the now closed Siberia Lounge (which has now re-opened again) I was a big fan and I was really happy to hear they moved to this new location so I was really excited to visit their new spot for the first time and I was pleased to discover it was even better than it used to be as they added new things while keeping my favorites from their original menu. I have eaten here many times since and always enjoy my food and sometimes getting to sample some new things they have added to the menu. One of the star items here is their fantastic burger and they do make one of the best burgers in the New Orleans area! I also typically enjoy their beef borsch, beef stroganoff and the Slavic sampler platter along with the occasional random new item the add to their menu.
