Shireon G was literally the bomb. Her energy and vibe were unmatchable. She is a superstar and goes above and beyond with her positive smile and attitude! The food was so good. But Shireon is why I'll be coming back!

Wait was around 30 minutes even though we made reservations . If you reserve through Yelp, make sure you're there when your turn is up or you'll be waiting for a while. I ordered the trifecta and the candied bacon. It was delicious, but definitely could've shared as it was a lot of food. My sister had the grits and the chicken with toast. We enjoyed our dishes and are glad e we got to enjoy a New Orleans staple. It's a pretty busy and the ambience is bustling, but it has a cute decor.

Amazing!!! So so good! We stared with a Bloody Mary, it was great. I tried the chicken St Charles and the bananas foster Pain Perdu. The food is amazing. The biscuits were so soft and fluffy, the gravy is flavorful. I did have to ask for an extra side of gravy. The banana's Foster was delicious. I have absolutely no complaints. I would highly recommend this restaurant

Out of the 5 mornings I was in New Orleans, I spent 3 of them here. IF YOU WANT TO EAT HERE USE THE ONLINE RESERVATION BEFORE YOU GET HERE! Saved a lot of time. Staff was great. Friendly and busy. I had an omelette 2 of the days and the peach pancakes the other. Omg I am not really a pancake person but I am a peach person. I loved the pancakes. No whipped cream and no syrup was needed. The omelette was good but the biscuit was amazing. Again, I am not a biscuit person either but these biscuits were the BEST I have ever had. Top off breakfast with coffee and a peach Bellini it was a place I would take all my friends and family to. Thank you!!!!

There's a reason they have so many amazing reviews. They nail it from the moment you walk through the door. There's an outside server for drinks while you wait, thank you very much, will oblige! The Benny's are delicious. In my opinion, the pork is the best. The chicken was also spot on. Had I of been in town longer I would have went back to try more. Had their version of a White Russian, delish.

If visiting this place, please be prepared to wait a while. Following a mix-up at check-in, I was seated after waiting maybe 45 minutes. The wait staff was fantastic, and the food was even more pleasing. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with a side of bacon. I enjoyed every bit of it.

There were about 30 people outside waiting for a table. Now I see why. Big, fluffy biscuits, cheesy grits, eggs Benedict, coffee.. everything was so good. The portion sizes were HUGE so I didn't finish my sliders. Although the wait can be long, you can easily purchase drinks outside while you wait. The waitress is walking around outside with a menu and credit card reader. Pro tip: Join the waitlist online ahead of time. I joined at 9:58am on a Saturday the wait was 1hr 30 to 2hrs. I was seated around 1hr 15 minutes, so better than expected. Was an overall great experience.

This place is fantastic! Go early to avoid the line but it’s worth it. We were greeted nicely by the hostess. We loved it so much we went two days in a row. We have two excellent servers Image and Shi. They were attentive and friendly. The food is served quickly and is outstanding.

Why do people wait for over an hour to eat here. The Pros: They do sell drinks you can have while you wait outside, you can join the line online, but you still have to get there in time to tell them you're there, and the food is good. The Cons: The wait, the rushed food, and the wait. I gave up Felix's Oyster house to have breakfast here instead, and I was disappointed. It's not bad, but it's not waste close to 90 minutes of your life standing around waiting to be seated. The Bloody Mary was good, as was the bourbon milk punch as far as drinks go. The Mrs. ordered the BLT which had bacon, fried green tomatoes and other tomatoes too. My Biscuits and Gravy was pathetic. The Biscuits are like 1.5 inches tall, and there was barely any sausage gravy. Picture a toaster strudel icing packet and that's what it seemed like was on the biscuit. I've ordered biscuits and gravy many times in my life, and have never seen less gravy than what they put on. I had to ask for more sausage gravy on the side, which they brought out, but still... just put more on to begin with! The sunny side up eggs that came with the biscuits and gravy had so much runny white part that I couldn't eat it. I love a good yolk, but the slimy raw whites weren't what I wanted. Maybe it's because they thought I was Rocky Balboa and that's why they came out that way??? Who knows so I got a few over easy eggs instead. I added some spicy chicken tenders to go with it and they brought out regular ones. They took it back and tossed it in the sauce and brought the whole plate back out. I just happen to hate when they take the whole meal back to fix one thing. I could have been eating the other items. When my plate of 3 items has 3 things wrong, I can't give it 5 stars. The food was good enough for me not to give it 1 or 2 stars, so 3 stars seems about right. For a place that has a line because it's the best breakfast ever, I have to disagree with the masses. I'd go back to French Toast just for the bacon and toast alone, but I don't think I'd go back here when visiting NOLA.

Hubby and I stopped in for breakfast and we were so glad we did. The food was amazing!! The drinks were amazing!! The service was great! I ordered the Sazerac Sipper and hubby got the Bloody Mary with bacon infused vodka. For food I got the three little pigs omelets and the hubby got the trifecta. The biscuit with my meal was delicious and I don't usually like biscuits. The trifecta was good, all 3 of the eggs included were really good. Next time we are in town we will totally eat here again.

Now that I'm back home in New York, I want to click my shoes twice and be back at the Ruby Slipper Cafe. Dining here was one of the highlights of our trip. I brought my two sons and father in law to New Orleans for a bachelor party-getaway. The first hard charging nite on Bourbon st and my sons couldn't handle it. Me? I am ready for round two! I text my father in law and told him to meet me in the lobby 7:30am for breakfast. If you think you're going to waltz into the Ruby Slipper Cafe at 10am? Yeah good luck with that plan. It's at least a 45 minute wait. I'm savvy enough to bum rush the hostess stand early in the morning. Sure enough, two seats at the counter are free. I need a hang over plate so I order the biscuits and gravy plate with a side of hot chicken. Hot sausage gravy smothering two freshly made biscuits is just what I need to get the party re-started. The breakfast entree also came with eggs and a fried green tomato. It was a fantastic meal and I was able to have some alone time with my father in law. I told my sons when they woke up, we had the best meal here! Now they want to come back. Everyone knows the rules, be up early to snag a table. The next day I ordered Bacon Praline Pancakes with a cup of their outrageous coffee. We're sitting outside and at 9am on a Sunday, it's easily a 90 minute wait. My pancakes? Soooo good! I look at my father in law, he ordered the same meal I did from a few days ago? My sons are happy, this was a good time had by all of us. A great bonding experience, no amount of money can offer this quality time. The Ruby Slipper Cafe was one of the spots that gave our trip some great memories.

The best Bloody Mary my husband has had in years while waiting the appointed 45 minutes the hostess related. The line was always long but this Monday we hoped the wait was worth it. As we watched and waited 8 others groups of 2 or 3 who came after us we seated and served. Hubby checked to see where we were on the list and was told there were four more ahead of us. I think we were duped.

Yes it's worth the wait, but good before 9am because it gets packed early. You must get the fried green tomatoes with the bacon jam. It's the south, everything has bacon! The peaches and cream pancakes were also amazing. I looked forward to coming her my whole time in New Orleans and trust they didn't disappoint. The service was friendly and thought the food was a wait it was very much worth it. Put this place on your list.

The loaded tastier tots are a MUST GET - absolutely worth getting. It's a small enough portion where you can still have your meal but with such a huge flavor sensation in your mouth. The juicy pork and the combination of bacon and tater tot ratio was heaven. Probably the best thing they have. We put ourselves on the waitlist by calling which was clutch because as soon as we got there we maybe only waited 5 mins to sit out of a 45min wait from the time we started the waitlist. Definitely call ahead the answering machine auto adds you to the waitlist. Highly recommend. We saw some folks just arrive in front of us and they were pissed they had to wait the whole 45mins. We ordered classic breakfast and beef brisket Benedict with the apple pie stuffed French toast. I'd say they were alright. The best of those was probably the French toast which I'd recommend. Brioche bread always is amazing with a pound of syrup. Beef brisket was too dry so if you can do the pork instead if you prefer a juicy experience. It's pretty walking friendly since it was so close to our hotel but easy to find. Just look for the ruby slipper sign out front. Mimosas were ok. Ordered the ruby mimosa waiting for a sweet taste since they add pomegranate but just tasted like a regular mimosa so I'd pass on that next time. Otherwise, great atmosphere. They have inside and outside dining. Everyone you could tell was having a good time. Such a friendly staff. Our waitress even asked what he had planned for the day and made some solid recommendations. Music and decor was cool to look at too.
