Stopped here because the name included rum. And both the rum house and Axel did not disappoint. Quickly seated, and Axel right there to take our order. The tuna ceviche was delicious. We also partook in the spicy rum flight, bartenders choice. And had some tacos with fried plantains. All fresh, all good. Nice atmosphere, fun vibe, solid service. Not bad for picking because of the name of restaurant.Kid-friendliness: We don’t have kids but saw kids here so must be kid friendly

Great service, tasty food and a lively atmosphere. Our waiter gave us wonderful suggestions. The sides are just as good as the tacos. The Bacon Smothered Greens and Ancho Mashed Potatoes were so good and different than anything like them I've ever tasted! We also shared the Banana Bread Pudding and took a bag of cookies home to snack on tomorrow. We plan to return to The Rum House again and try some other tasty food.

This bar/ restaurant had a great vibe, they did a lot of caribbean dishes and rums. They also play music at night and is incredibly more chilled than the French Quarter and Downtown. It is on Market Street in the Garden District. I should add the Rum House doesn't have parking but you can park free on several of the streets all nearby, but not on Magazine St.Parking: The free parking can be found on Harmony st, 7th St and 8th st and a few other streets.

Rum House is very average for what you get. Prices for little tacos are really too high for such small portions.

Got there at 3:50pm. I was sat outside and never attended to. After 20 minutes I had to go to the host stand, wait another few minutes before anyone came. The place wasn’t packed, while I understand shift change, management has to be better. It was people who were sat outside after me that were served. By the way I’m a veteran who was just trying to get served.

One of our new favorite place to stop by when we are NOLA. Food is really good and the drinks are delicious and made quick.

Service was excellent. Sat at the bar. Ordered fish taco, jerk chicken taco, greens, Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. Fish taco was the best and sweet potato fries are a must!

When in NOLA, don't miss this place. Great food and drink. Go for happy hour. Lots of shops on same street. On street parking is tight.

I want to shout out the amazing service we had here. The food is worth the stop, but it doesn't quite make the mandatory list due to NOLA having so many great choices. The blueberry mojito and plantains are great.
