I dined at Tonti's Hand several times when they first opened and it was a wonderful French restaurant with a great menu and cuisine and very well executed.I wanted to take one of my best friends for her birthday on a beautiful spring day and enjoy this really cute restaurant in Algiers point. (When I realized they were no longer Tontis hand but Tontis cocktail and bar) bad mojo!Obviously the atmosphere and the beautiful Courtyard was wonderful, the food unfortunately was to be desired the trout almondine was OK ( since we had to split it) the coq au vin was probably a four day old chicken and you could taste it. I had two bites and left everything else on the plate. I did eat the frozen puff pastry it came with.Even the french fries that used to be hand cut and fresh made were frozen french fries now (shoestring frites lol)I then ordered creme brulee as dessert I was still hungry being that I did not eat my entree, it was fine, unfortunately the fruit on the plate around it had mold on abd showed sign of Aging fruit. Very sad! See pictureThey did take the chicken off the bill but I'm just sad this cute old Algiers restaurant has gone down so much so fast. Both my friend and I are concierges in the city and we will not be recommending your establishment.

Rude staff (it's new orleans it's fine)Asked for 2 orders of wings with separate sauce, waitress assumed we were drunk, delivered one order of wings and one order of fries, charged for two orders of wings. Wings were puny. Always hope this spot does well. Best of luck.

Absolutely abominable service. I tried my hardest to keep an open mind to a small restaurant but the service was simply unacceptable. Insane wait time for appetizers (not even entree’s) that were average or below. 22% Gratuity automatically added despite beyond poor performance, totally undeserved. Truly hoping this place gets the shutdown it deserves ASAP, if not, don’t waste your time giving them business.

Nice little spot, however, the service was unbelievably slow! There were only 3 tables taken, yet our apps (no entrees!) Took an HOUR! Plus, they included a 22% tip on their behalf? I'll make that decision, thank you! The food was average, portion size way too small. There are MUCH better options in Algiers than this place. If it were New York, Toronto, London etc this place would be closed in 6 months! Avoid.

Very unprofessional…long wait for simple appetizers…waitress not friendly and refused to split cheques. Actually looked angry we asked her to split the bill. They automatically charged 23% because we were a table of 5. Staff not apologetic and rude. Stay away from this place.

They don't accept cash, we try 4 cards in apple pay and they didn't go threw back called us for suspicious movement, that didn't match the name on the receipt with the one in the machine. Waters kept saying you only have to pay $87.97 don't leave a tip just pay that or Venmo me. We explained multiple times we were trying to pay and even leave a tip, but we don't have any transfer app that will be used in the US. We try offering again the cash and they kept saying just card. We had to call a local friend to lend us his card and we gave him the cash.

Food was average. Service was terrible. Waitress never came back to our table after taking the order until the end of our meal. Food came out in all the wrong order. My wife's food came out 20 minutes before I got my food and the appetizer came out with my food. Again waitress never came to check on us at all. Won't be going back. Food not good enough to overcome service issue.

All around great menu choices. I've eaten here enough time to have tried everything on the menu and have not had a bad meal. Cocktails are spot on. Bonus that it is open Sunday and Monday night!

The food was fine but the service was lacking. No one checked in on us once we received our food but they went to the table next to us multiple times during that period. We were excited to try more cocktails but were disappointed to find no one around to take our order.

I have dietary restrictions (gluten) so I'm very cautious where I eat, and I have to applaud Tonti's for the gluten free trout almondine. It was delicious! If you're gluten free, substitute the fried potatoes. There are several GF sides. The ambience is awesome and so are the cocktails. I enjoyed the music that was playing during happy hour! Lovely place.

Stopped in for a drink with a friend. The atmosphere was nice and laid-back. The beer came with a glass which I much prefer and was thoroughly delighted with. The woman behind the bar was very friendly and patient as we took a second to choose a beer from their wonderful selections of craft, local and European beers. I did not have the food unfortunately as we were pressed for time, but what I saw being served to others looked like time and energy was spent in the preparation- and it smelled Devine. The burger I saw come to the serving window behind the bar looked large and juicy - Next time we will dine there for the full experience no doubt.Kid-friendliness: There were children dining with their parents and the restaurant had a kids menu.

Wow. A true bistro with delicious French inspired cuisine and crafted cocktails. The coque au Vin pot pie and trout almondaise were superb. French onion soup and creme Brule magical. The king cake martini was tres bon. A gem that's well worth the trip thru the sleepy Algiers neighborhood.

The food was delicious! Several very French bistro style things on the menu. Well executed! The service was excellent, not fussy, but attentive. Everything on the menu was attractive and appealing. I had escargot and mussels in white wine, my friend had French onion, soup, and the beef Bourgogne " pie". A great experience all in all.

Tonti's hand is such a wonderful place on the westbank! It is our favorite. The cozy ambience, excellent food and exceptional service. We knew we wanted to celebrate the New year here and it did not disappoint as always.

Food was decent but service was horrible. Waited 90 minutes for food and watched others that came in 45-60 minutes after get their food before or at the same time. Server never attempted to communicate throughout the wait. When the food came, we expressed our frustration. The server claimed the kitchen was at fault and never attempted to apologize or acknowledge the situation. Having been in food service, I understand that things happen: the kitchen gets backed up, new staff are training, etc. It is still the server's responsibility to manage the customers' expectations through communication. This server must have been so conflict avoiding that she created unhappy customers by failing to communicate. I was never in a hurry and would have completely understood the situation if I had been respected enough to have been acknowledged and informed.
