Vaso was a very nice bar, with two bands each night and really good blues music. Unfortunately it and the entire corner has been closed for more than a year. The entire building is under major construction and is enclosed by chain link fencing to keep anyone out. It is unclear if they will ever return or if the building is being repurposed.

Was in NOLA four years ago for a convention. VASO was our go-to in the evenings. Convention again this Dec and looking forward to hitting this place again. Good band, can't remember the name. Skinny white guy on lead guitar was fantastic. Restroom so-so, but spent my time sitting at a table:-) Prices reasonable. Looking forward to our visit.

We enjoyed a great band and company, but when I got home and checked my receipts versus the charges on my bill, the bartender was doubling the tip I left. We bought two drinks and left a $2. tip and he changed it to a $5. tip.

Very cool spot in the Frenchmen section of town. There is a drink minimum and can get very crowded very fast. The bands provide great jazz and a fun environment to relax and sip. Nice grown folks time and not crowded and ratchet like Bourbon st. Drinks aren't expensive all tho some cocktails are a bit pricey but it's New Orleans you will most be drunk if your in here. Way different crowd here then on Bourbon st. Can just sit and listen to jazz or zydeco some nights they have live dj.

We have been here many times and is one of the key music spots on Frenchmen Street. In fact, it was the first place we went to on our first trip to Frenchmen Street. This place doesn't keep a up to date music calendar on-line, but it really doesn't matter. ANYONE who is playing here will keep you here.

Vaso was one of the cleaner places we visited on Frenchman. They didn't have a great live band that night, which was too bad because we liked the place otherwise. Lots of seating, and it was packed. The crowd was very gracious. We had a kind server, the drinks were great. The entrance and restroom are accessible. They are gender specific.
