Wine Bars near New Roads

“We found ourself working in New Roads and decided to give Ma Mama's a try after reading their reviews. We had some amazing food including the gumbo, Caesar Salad and steak with a loaded potato. Everything was fantastic and even though they were a bit busy, our server was delightful. I hope we get more work in the area so we can go back to Ma Mama's!“

“We were dressed for a previous event, so we decided to stop here. Really glad we did. We didn't have reservations on a Saturday night but they immediately seated us at the bar around the grill. Had some good conversations with one of the grill chefs. We ordered the focaccia for an appetizer and it was grilled in front of us and was so good. I had the redfish and I'd gladly have it again. My husband had the ribeye and it was cooked exactly like he wanted. And all our sides were so good. We ordered the bread pudding for a shared dessert and loved it, too. The service was excellent--attentive but not hovering. If we lived closer, this restaurant would go on our list for special celebrations.“

“The best burger in the whole town is right here at the Myrtles Plantation - The Carriage House! The restaurant is nice and a lil ghostly encounter is always a slight possibility. Additionally, the villas are designed for a special get away weekend. You will love it!“
