Wanted to order some oysters at 7:00 p.m. and was told that they didn't have any only ones that they have are for cooking. Been all over Louisiana ain't never had a place tell me they didn't have any oysters to serve. I would not recommend this place to my friends.

The crawfish etouffee today was horrible and tasted like uncooked flour and a strange twang. Two people at our table couldn't eat it and we informed the waitress and she took it off our bill. She said that some people do not like the taste....that was an understatement. The seafood gumbo was subpar, but editable. I heard from my cousin that is a local resident and a food critic and he stated that the quality has gone down recently.

The food is piping hot when you get it and it almost burned my mouth. That's how food should be served. Fried seafood combo included fish, shrimp (from Louisiana), oysters (from Louisiana), and crab claws. All cooked very well. I think the oysters could have been cooked a little longer though but they had great taste.McKenna was really good on expressing her ideas about the menu even though she doesn't like oysters. I like a candid server who can speak their mind. She sold me on the Milky Way pie that was extremely good. You got to have it.This was overall a great experience and when I come back through here again I'll try something new.

Food was great. Our waitress was very nice. All the ladies were very sweet. Took awhile to get to the table though. Got our food an hour after sitting down. It was busy and a Friday night, but it took forever to get our things. The appetizer came out after everything else and I never got my salad. So just plan on it taking a while and maybe have a snack before you come for dinner.Pictured are the 4lb boiled crawfish ($30), seafood pasta ($20), and the hushpuppies with a sweet butter ($4).Kid-friendliness: All the tables have paper tablecloths and the kids get crayons with a coloring paper and can draw on the table too. Definitely a kid friendly place.

Stopped for lunch. I had a BLT with fries. Wife had 1/2 seafood stuffed baked potato with onion rings. She had unsweet tea and I had Diet Dr. Pepper. Had good service with good food.Bathroom was clean but not handicap accessible, but did have plenty of room.

Really good spot for food, especially after a long drive towards New Orleans. Crawfish Etouffee was creamy and the crawfish tasted like crawfish. And those were honestly the most addicting onion rings I think I ever had. It's a bit of an unassuming place but I had a good time here. I will say I was a teeny bit uneasy at first. I felt treated differently at first (if my last name is any indicator) and the owners/servers only seemed to warm up to me and my party after we were there for a while. It's like they only respected us after they figured we weren't dumb lost outsiders and knew what we were doing. But hey, food is good.

Ok so we were hungry on a Sunday eve drive back home to Opelousas. I’ve always seen this place and wondered so I stopped.Let’s just say the best thing about the meal was the bottle of barg’s root beer.I ordered the shrimp and crabmeat au gratin. Fricking hated it. It was tasteless flour and water based glue with a bit of crab meat and tiny shrimp in it. Tasteless, thick goopy mess! Not really a meal to eat with a spoon but not really a soup. NEVER order it!My hubby ordered a seafood stuffed potato. It was dry as heck but managed an okay taste after a dash of salt.We will not be stopping by here again. Not recommended!
