Life Or Death
I may be ordered the wrong food maybe next time I try something different but the food that I ordered was not good at all and there's a couple of other things that I noticed by waiting on my food the first thing was the young lady that was handling the utensils placing them in paper for customers got up several times to remove plates from the table take a order scratch your hair sit back down and continue putting the utensils in the paper for new customers as well as took her phone. look at through it,then rub her face and then went back to preparing the utensils. I would have just rather her prepare the utensils in the back if that's the way they handle the utensils instead of right there in front of people cuz what you don't see don't hurt you but what you do see will bother you while you're eating

Great local diner. Great good at good prices. Cajun seasoned salt on the table, hot coffee, and faith based signs inside and out. As a person not originally from the south, places like this give me hope. A publicly Christian diner would never survive the madness on the west coast.

The food is off the chain. I had the fried fish and shrimp combo. There was plenty of truck parking when I got there, around 8:00 PM. There was a bad traffic jam on I-10. So I stopped for the night. The shower room was scary. Somebody else's hair in the sink. Everything else was clean, just old, rusty, and scary looking. The water worked good. No scalding, good pressure. There's all kinds of snacks and drinks in the store part.
Don’t get the steak n eggs , not sure if the steak was beef because it tasted off and was like biting into a tire, also very bland. Biscuits were the star, but the gravy needs work, eggs and hash browns good, lady was nice but should of gave me a discount on the steak since I left more than half of it.

I have dined here many times over the past five years however, the place is going down. The inside is not clean. Service is next to horrible and the quality of the food is definitely lacking. I realize times are hard and help is short but I ordered a basket of fried shrimp, which was a more expensive item, and they were air fried to death. They were so dry it out and chewy. I felt like I was eating a bait shrimp!! Apparently the manager was having to work that day or perhaps she was the owner. I brought this to her attention, and was never offered a discount or for the item to be replaced. I will not recommend this diner to anyone nor will I probably be back.
