“Looking for a breakfast stop, we found Joy Donuts. While the place is small, it does offer both dine in and take out options. We chose to dine in with a good cup of coffee and a donut. I had a Cruller which was very good along with very good coffee. Sadly, my wife chose the Apple turnover that was slightly undercooked and had way too much sugar coating for her to fully enjoy. Overall, the variety of donuts is limited but suitable enough for a small location. The place is very clean and well maintained. The early morning hours are great, they open at 4:30 AM and close at 11: AM, Monday - Saturday and are closed on Sunday. I highly recommend Joy Donuts. “I stopped by this little gem on my way for truck repairs. There was a big selection, and the staff were very helpful in answering questions about the various items. The goodies were for the repair guys. I purchased lots of different donuts and pig in the blankets for them. My glazed donut was delicious. This place will now be my new donut shop when in town!“

Bvld. & Sharp RdParking: There's probably less than 10 places to park which is not a big issue unless it's high traffic time. “Everytime i have eaten at this location the donuts are hot and fresh and soooo good.They have Kolaches and i wish those were hot as well. They're good but often room temp or cold. Frequent here because they satisfy my donut craving every time.“
“They have the best donuts. Light and fluffy and always fresh. We always request the chocolate over glaze and they always gladly add the chocolate with a smile. We love their kolache’s as well.Previously we were going to the donut shop in Plaquemine but after multiple times of them saying we don’t have any donuts and not making any more. We learned they don’t really want a lot of business and is content making a small amount. Thats when we found this little gem, the Tasty Crème. They always have fresh donuts, a smile and are willing to add chocolate to glaze donut as you stand there. Wonderful customer service. Wonderful people. Wonderful food!“

“I've been going to this location for donuts for 30 years. Started going with my family after church, and now I take my kids. The staff is courteous and fast. The donuts are the best I've found in the world. I mean that literally. The basic glazed donut tops any other glazed donut I've found in any country or continent I've visited. It's a taste I'll frequently come back to for hopefully another 30 years.“
“crispy donuts has to this day the best boudin kolache i have ever eaten. the bread is so soft and light but it’s cooked with a perfect crisp on the outside. the boudin is delicious of course. their donuts are great too. i would get two boudin kolaches and a blueberry donut every time i went (which was multiple times a week). i say all this while eating someone else’s kolache, wishing it was theirs.“
“We ordered steak fried rice which I highly recommend!!. But in times past when I ordered I was served an amount that would feed two people. Or which would allow me leftovers for another day. Well now you are served just enough for one meal....and you pay a higher price! Not good business I think. I don't mind paying more if the price is commensurate with the quality and amount I receive. Anything other than that in my opinion just isn't good business ?“

“I wish I had gotten her name, but whoever was working the morning of Sunday, April 4, 2021 was awesome. She recommended the apple fritter, and she did not steer me wrong!
