My wife and I come here often. I've never had a bad experience! Great local spot with solid food and great service! Live music on Wednesdays create a great atmosphere! Looking forward to trying brunch!

Galvez Seafood has the best hamburger steak in town! Everything I’ve ever ordered from the menu has been really good, but I am a hb steak lover and you can’t get a better one in Ascension or BR! Oh, their Mississippi Mud cake is amazing! My husband bought a whole pan of it from the kitchen… it was that good!!
would have loved to had some of the gumbo. I assume it's as good as it used to be but unfortunatel, grub hub was the only delivery offered and after 3 Hours, I cancelled. very unfortunate!

I had gotten hamburger's from them and we are in love with the hamburger's.. We remember how good handmade hamburgers are and they are top of our list for great food and I would send anyone else to them for the great food and friendly atmosphere.....
Service was good if a bit slow. Now I did go to a seafood restaurant and ended up order grilled pork chops because they didn't have what I really was in the mood for which was grilled shrimp. However the grilled porkchops had little flavor and were full of fat and gristle. I actually had to dip them in ketchup to finish. Was sorely disappointed.

My first visit to this restaurant and it did not disappoint...the atmosphere is pleasant, the server was on point.....I ordered the pork chop which is cooked too order, I ordered well done and the chop was still juicy and tender, the eggs were scrambled and fluffy, the breakfast potatoes were excellent....would definitely eat at Galvez again.....
Seafood gumbo was the best! The bbq shrimp was great. 1/2 & 1/2 was just too much food, but very good. We enjoyed our experience. There were 6 of us.

Wings were good, egg rolls and jalapeño ranch sauce was the bomb sorry no pic was starving lol ( egg rolls could have been fried a lil longer) I had the buffalo chicken sammich and fries. Wife had an iceberg salad sorry no pic ( she smashed it tho says the Italian dressing was the best she’s had in a while) and Red fish, which she didn’t eat bc she was full from the wings and egg rolls . Oweeee the Modelo was soo cold I had two.Leah was AWESOME . Thanks Leah

We Galvez Seafood! on the food, service and atmosphere! No small portions here and you get exactly what your tastebuds desire. These days with the COVID virus everyone acts different. Mask or no mask. They have an outdoor eating or socializing area. We highly recommend this wonderful Louisiana/Cajun seafood
