Well a friend of mine from NOLA recommended this place. He said it was a bit out of my way on the drive back from Baton Rouge back to NOLA, which it was.....I literally drove by this place as I was looking for a large sign/ restaurant parking lot etc....No it's a small building with a drive thru and maybe a walk up window for service. I noticed some picnic tables in front as I drove off.With that said....the food didn't disappoint. We had the ribs, brisket, burnt ends, and chicken wings.Look this understated joint is worth the ride if you are not from the area. Don't sleep on the smoked fried chicken wings, and burnt ends. The sides all have some added spice to them and there's pork tasso in the potato salad....different but I was all in. Actually the pickled onions and pickles had an added flavor as well.

We decided to get all the meats and sides to see what we like. The meats were awesome, except our brisket was dry, but it still had great flavor. The ribs, pulled pork and pork belly were on point. The sides were all a no for me. Potato salad had to much going on. I can't fairly judge macaroni and cheese or dirty rice, because I don't like it period. Corn was not flavorful. Neither was the slaw, which they need my slaw dressing recipe for. The beans were ok. I know they sometimes have chicken. Not sure why they don't always have it. My husband enjoyed it, but felt the same as I do. Not sure if they just sell the meat, but will definitely ask.

Came on a Sunday because I was in the area. The service was excellent. You can drive thru or walk up to the front and order. Do not try to go inside like I did because I'm ridiculous. It's more like a snowball stand and they have 2 picnic tables for outside seating and eating. The lady who worked there was so kind and friendly. I got the boudin breakfast burrito. It was so good. The cook did a great job and let the food cook perfectly. Not like me bc I'm impatient and everything I cook is burned while simultaneously being undercooked. He also has an amazing beard. They served tator tots with the burrito. They have a little extra seasoning too and are delicious and not greasy or soggy and fresh. I will def be back on a Saturday maybe to catch some brisket. Warning: There is a little guy there. He wouldn't even pretend to help me because he was so busy with his device. Didn't even look up. Curly hair and can't be over 3 feet. But in all fairness I don't think they're paying him because he is a toddler. He's definitely getting by on his good looks!

I had the brisket it was AMAZING!!! Most things that have been in that spot haven't made it long. This food is TOP Notch! Off the beaten path not a sit down inside restaurant and worth every penny! I will be trying the nachos next!

I bought the meats and sides combo $41. 3 pieces brisket, 2 ribs, 5 pieces burnt ends and a small serving of pulled pork. It wasn't very good. Sides were good. Extremely disappointed. Not worth the cost.
Picked up food yesterday. We got the Qbano, Smash Burger and 2 Meat combo. Everything was great. Greak smoked flavor and well put together flavor profiles. Great fast service.

We tried brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Brisket wasn't trimmed of fat and half of the meat in the boxes was total fat. Lot of fat in the pulled pork too. Flavor was ok, but we feel like we paid for a few fat plates rather then meat. Ribs were ok, but we've had better. Sides were decent but nothing spectacular. Honey pepper slaw was mostly just cabbage. Beans were something anyone could make. The Mac and cheese was really good. Mexican corn was decent, but nothing special. Pickles and onions were the best part, but you only get 2 each box. All in all, for the price, it's mediocre at best. Really disappointed in the brisket. We went for dinner about 5:30pm, Saturday night. Maybe we got the the leftovers in the pan before they ran out, and all that was left was the fat.

This place should be mentioned as one of the best bbq places in Louisiana. An absolute must do if you are road tripping along route 61. This is by far the best bbq platter I have ever tasted. The food is made with much love and you can tell the owner has some serious know how about cooking bbq so you will get that perfect smoked flavor. Bon appetit! Greetings from Denmark.
