OMG .... This is definitely a place everybody should stop and have a burger from. The flavor is amazing and they have chili Fritos dressed with lettuce tomato and mayo... At first I was kind of like I don't know about that Mayo but that the middle of that first bite! OMG that's all I can think of now lol , that's some good stuff... You can also call ahead of time and they will have your order ready. Highly recommend!!!?

Goal Post is local to me, so I called in my order of three entrees ahead of time. By the time I drove up (15 mins?) my order was waiting for me.I ordered the gravy fries and tots dressed and added bits of roast beef. All the flavors of a roast beef poboy in a bowl. No mess. Deeee- lish- usssssss!Parking: Don’t worry about where you gonna park when going to the goal post. Some people might say the service was poor or the food was poor but nobody is gunna say they had trouble finding a parking spot, that’s for sure!

Have been coming here for years. Now that I live out of town whenever I am nearby I stop. Roast beef poboys are the best.

I'm done. I loved this place. But holy crap an hour to get an order. And after you tell me 20-30 minutes on the phone. People don't have that long to wait. And it's fine if you have a piece of paper on the window explaining you're not fast food. But if you can't get the order out in 20-30 then don't say it. People are thinking they have time to come get it and eat it before getting back to where they need and they don't. This is the third time so it's not like I'm writing this after my first time of experiencing this. It's every time now. So, that's it, not coming back.

Good food and fast. We enjoyed our sandwiches and fries. The people were very pleasant and helpful since it was our first time ever trying them. They had free calendars for customers and some had discounts included for free food.

Great burger. Extensive menu. Waited over 30 mins though. It's not fast food. But is worth the wait. I will go back when in the area. Food is to go though there are tables outside if you opt to eat on location

Apparently my cousin, Eric, owns the joint now. The Goal Post was a family favorite my entire life. I moved to Baton Rouge, Washington DC, and have been in the San Francisco Bay Area for more years than my early life in Raceland. I love cooking and am considered by friends and family to be a "foodie" (term I hate). I am not a snob tho and I know where I come from. And whenever I visit the Bayou at least one trip to the Goal Post is REQUIRED. I don't know if the burgers and po boys are mostly nostalgia for me, but nothing compares. The messy poboys, the simple cheeseburger, the perfect shake. So happy this business continues. The best damn thing about Raceland IS the Goal Post!

Goal Post, in my opinion, is the most beloved little restaurant in Raceland. Hands down, the best roast beef poboy in the area. Chilli Fritos and Gravy Fries also cannot be beat. Don't overlook this place if you find yourself near.
