We had people tell us how good this place was. We finally had a chance to stop and boy that was a mistake. This food is TERRIBLE!!!! My husband got the fish basket and I got the 1/2 & 1/2. The breading on the fish was flour not cornmeal. The texture and taste of the fish was unappetizing. The fries were old tasting and limp. My husband never eats ketchup on his fries but tonight he had to just to try and eat them. The fried shrimp and coleslaw were the only edible part of our meal. The food was so bad we walked across the street to the truckstop and ordered a pizza to take back to our hotel. I wouldn’t eat here again even if it were free. I have never given a restaurant such a poor review but people need to know so they don’t waste their money.

What a wonderful place! I came in right at closing time and they so graciously served me. The chicken and Cajun rice are phenomenal! Must try if you haven’t! Thank you Gabe’s for filling my belly before my nap. ?

For years I have been told to try this place and I finally did it. I tried something simple and went for the fried shrimp Poboy. (Very disappointed.) Only 7 shrimp total and a lot of bread. Never had one with lettuce but it was different no problem. Bit pricey for what I got. But maybe I will try something different next time???? Fries were good. Would like some kind of Cajun seasoning for them. Great people though service was good.Wheelchair accessibility: I didn't notice a ramp but has steps and drive thru
