Server rushed us continuously, didn’t have several items on the menu, messed up our appetizer order, we didn’t order anything else due to the service and menu availability. Then couldn’t move us to an empty table to watch the only game we came to watch even though that table was empty the entire time we were there. Couldn’t accept a $100 bill, when change wouldn’t have been very much. I didn’t have high expectations going in I just wanted to watch a football game. They still found a way to make it a terrible experience.

first time here, worst customer service ever, jennifer was rude since we first sat down, we asked for a table for 7 and asked if we could just put two tables together since it was a small restaurant and she didn’t even say anything and shoved the tables together. we did not ask for much but she wasn’t around so we asked another waitress for something and jennifer came back to our table multiple times to tell us we were not allowed to ask the other waitress anything and that she only cleans tables but the girl was very nice when she was allowed to talk/ help us! jennifer threw our stuff down on the table and walked away before we had a chance to say anything. the last straw was we left the restaurant and she came out of the restaurant saying she only had our 3 bills and not the 4 we paid for, we paid one in cash and told her to keep the change she was very rude to chase us out of the restaurant acting like we did not pay. I understand the stress that comes with working in a short staffed restaurant but i’ve always been told to “treat other as you would want to be treated”, i’m sure she would not appreciate being treated that way. the only positive is the food was awesome, will not be coming back!!!Update: Thank you for the response below! However, your account of our visit and the waitresses behavior is totally inaccurate! It’s a shame you choose not to address your customer service issues because your food is awesome!

Champs is like living in the show Cheers where everyone knows your name. The environment is always warm and welcoming. The staff is always courteous and going the extra mile. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

Poor hospitality for out of town guests! The hostess was rude when asked if they were showing an LSU game and so No only Tech game. I asked how many tvs they had and she said 8 ??? She was very rude. Lost our money and won't go there in the future.

First, let me say that I love Champs food! I have never had a bad meal there. Granted, I have only ever eaten their breakfast, but it is always delicious!That being said, I do not know what goes on professionally in this place. They never have enough help, and by enough I mean the nice middle aged lady wearing the baseball cap behind the bar is usually the ONLY server in the place even on weekend mornings when they are swamped. I know everyone is having staffing issues lately, but this is NOT new for Champs. I have to think management’s attitude is to blame for not being able to retain staff. That seemed to be all the more supported this morning when I went in alone to eat breakfast and both waitresses (There is a new girl named Lauren! Yay!) were crying while several tables complained and didn’t have food. I asked for a table for one, was told to wait just a minute, and was not spoken to again for over ten minutes. I just stood there which is when I witnessed the tears from both waitresses at different points. It seemed they didn’t have the space - mental or otherwise - for more customers so I left.It’s such a shame. They wait staff is sweet, and my food is always good, albeit very late to the table. I will certainly return, but most days they just cannot seem to get the customer service together - likely through no fault of their own.

Lauren was our waitress. She is very nice, kind, and professional. Her people skills are great. I would definitely come back just to have her as my waitress again!
The owners were very lovely. We had a blast with these people. We were their last customers and they made us stay a little extra.Y'all should try their long Island ice tea!!

Pitchers of Mimosas- yes please! The atmosphere is great and the food even better. We were in town for a LA Tech football game and stopped by for breakfast one day and lunch the next. We recognized 5 coaches and a couplePlayers while we were there. I highly recommend Champs!

After witnessing the worst customer service today at Champs Sports Bar & Restaurant. A group of Young Black Women came into the Restaurant to enjoy lunch and were treated less than human beings. A waitress by the name of Jennifer really should be fired because of the way she treated and disrespected them. To the owner that didn't speak up for the customers shame on you. I would pray for you and Jennifer but one of the young ladies said you told her you're not a God fearing man. Do better Champs Sports Bar & Restaurant!!!I saw exactly what was going on. I understand that she works hard but that's apart of her job. For her to be so rude and unprofessional was very unnecessary. All I saw were young women trying to enjoy lunch but couldn't do it because the waitress acted as if their money wasn't good enough for her service. Those lady required her attention just like everyone in that restaurant but when they got it they were met with attitude not because they did anything wrong but because it seem as if she didn't want to serve a group a black women. So to the owner of Champs Sports Bar & Restaurant stop making excuses for your worker and start correcting the issue that was caused by your worker.

After hearing and seeing the pictures of some great looking food, I finally got a chance to eat at this establishment! I was pleased with the service, the warm welcome from the staff, and the overall environment. The food was so..good, and I was not disappointed! With the amount of food that they serve, I left with a full stomach and leftovers. I don't think anyone would be disappointed when visiting this etablishment.

My sisters and I of the Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity were able to come and eat delicious food and sing to those who were dining with us. The hosts were so welcoming and the food was very delicious. Champs is my number #1 choice for brunch!
