The rating isn't about the taste, but the amount. Do not order the tuna poke, for 13 a poke should be a full bowl, this was pathetic, 6 small bits of tuna on avocado. Smh. I guess they know their community and know most don't know better but for those of us who know Poke this is pathetic. The sushi is tasty presentation isn't great. And prices are on the high side for an establishment that only has pick up. With that said being that their only competition in town is Ronin and they have gone disturbingly down hill on the freshness of their sushi...it's not good choice in town. Drive to Monroe and visit RAWZ or BASIL, or even Ronin of Monroe...all worth the drive.

Nowhere on the site or google does this say that it’s “take-out only” so my husband and I drive an hour for a date-night just to be turned away because they aren’t seating customers inside. Just take-out. This is ridiculous.

I mean the food taste good but they do not work for the customers. Their prices are outrageous for 6 pieces of sushi that aren’t even big. But what did it for me and why I am writing this is I called to place an order today 2 hours before closing time just to be told they were out of sushi!!?? I mean come on how does a place that is open 5 days a week for 4 hours a day with almost a 5 star rating run out of sushi 2 hours after opening on the first day of the week? Their only job is to sell sushi! Literally. And they are saying they ran out of sushi? How does a company let this happen? They do not care about the customers and just about making their money. This is terrible service and not the way a business should be ran. There’s no excuse to be out of sushi after being closed for two days and opened for 2 hours. They just don’t want to work. Terrible representation of a restaurant service.

I ordered takeout through their website. It gives you the option to select your car make/ model/ color so they can bring your food out to you. We parked in the very front parking spot and saw most of the employees just sitting around on their phones. They even looked up at us multiple times… what’s the point of that feature then?? My boyfriend ended up going inside for the food that was alright but definitely not worth $31 for the amount and quality of food. First and last time ordering here. ☹️

I ordered the tuna poke appetizer…that was $13 and I got this…! I am very disappointed in the amount I got for $13 and it doesn’t come with wonton chips or anything for dipping. Would NOT recommend getting.

Boo. Apparently Anthony Fauci and AOC partner to ow this place. They never reopen to indoor dining after Covid.

Yes yes yes! The best sushi in Ruston . I love all the rolls and crab salad is the best.

Super quick but food quality not up to par for the price. Got gyoza (only fried offered) and a Lewis roll. Indoor dining prices which used to be worth it but not as good when I'm eating it in my truck or hotel. Used to be my fav but won't go back until the dining room opens again.

Excellent food and excellent service. Very nice atmosphere. I've tried sushi at a lot of places, but RAW hands down has the best I've ever had.

This is hands down the freshest and most delicious sushi that you will ever eat! I’ve had pretty much the entire menu. My favorites are the baldwins, Lewis, and rainbow rolls. My all time favorite appetizer is the baked salmon. But all the rolls are amazing and they will substitute with no problem ingredients that you may or may not want inside your roll. Enjoy! ;-)

Have to visit Ruston for work often and have not found a better restaurant. Hands down the best. I only wish I could have dined in.

This place is really good, but they're still closed in 2022 for dining. At this point, Raw is a glorified Food Truck. They refuse to re-open dining bc people are ordering Take-Out, Customers still Tip bc it's the right thing to do, and in consequence They're making MORE PROFITS than ever, while having no Cleaning to do, and don't have to rehire staff while splitting the Tips they're still getting from mobile orders among a very tiny staff. They're prioritizing profits, and if you keep ordering to-go from them, they're never going to re-open dining. People want a Night Out, and they settle for eating sushi at home, it's not what they want though. Ruston needs another Sushi place ASAP. This only happens when Owners don't care about anything but profits and have no local competition. We're going to Monroe from now on, still being closed to dining in 2022 is ridiculous.

Love this place! The sushi is delicious and high quality as well as reasonably priced. Be advised they are PICKUP ONLY with no intentions of returning to sit down service that I can see. I like to take my food home, so that’s good with me. The fashion roll is my staple, and 911, Big easy, Tech, inside out, and shrimp tempura rolls are all delicious as well. The double salmon rolled appetizer is divine and can be an entree unto itself because of the size and quality! So pleased this place exists in our small town. ❤️

I would hardly call myself a seasoned traveler, but I will call myself someone who is guaranteed to always visit a sushi place when traveling. I am from Ruston, and well, I can proudly say that the best sushi of my life comes from RAW. My normal go-to is the rainbow roll, but here lately -- all I want is the "Inside Out" roll, which is legit phenomenal. Additionally, you can never go wrong with the Chef's Special. Right now, RAW is only a to-go order spot, and I pray for the day the owners decide to reopen. It is such an iconic + important part of our Downtown, which is loved by many. Do yourself a favor + order -- even if your dine-in experience is at home or in the park!

It's not easy finding a sushi place in northern Louisiana. It's even harder to find one that is spectacular. Ruston is a small town and all the locals come here for their sushi needs. Unfortunately because of C19, they only offer to go. You have to use the website to order which is very easy to use. I don't recall the rolls that were ordered since I was there a few weeks ago, but the sashimi is the best. Please stop by if you are in the area.
