We live out of town & were looking for a Mexican restaurant near my dr’s office. We found this hidden gem & couldn’t have been more pleased. Authentic Mexican food, fast, friendly service & reasonably priced. Salsa was great, food was amazing. The lunch portions were very generous. I have enough left to eat another meal. We will definitely be back!!

The salsa was so fresh and delicious! The staff was very friendly, they all stopped by to say hi to my adorable, loud, and messy little grandson who thinks throwing stuff on the floor for everyone to pick up is a game. Everyone was ok participating in his game with a smile on their face! Thank y’all!Also we had the 2 for 1 Margaritas, they were great and strong! We all had a good nap when we got home!!

I've been an avid customer of this restaurant for years. The people there are like family. As far as I'm concerned they have the BEST Mexican food in town. It's a mix of traditional and Tex-Mex. The Mocajete is the bomb. It has shrimp, beef, chicken, cheese, cactus strips and chorizo in a mildly spicy broth served with all the trimmings, rice, beans, pico, etc. You'll love it. Although, you won't be disappointed with anything else you might try there. My only fear is that they are outgrowing their existing space and since they are in my neighborhood I would be devastated if they had to move due to their popularity.

This place deserves a good review they earn it. They're very kind people, and they treat the people that come into their establishment, anybody that comes in like they are home. A special shout out goes to the guy that works the counter as you come and leave he's a fantastic human being. The food is good, but im never impressed with the chips and sauce, but others like it...personal preference. Everything is reasonably priced.

I love El Compadre for its homey feel and delicious food. It is popular and busy, but we have never had a wait. The people there are great!
