I am so glad this Deli came up in my search. It's just one of those places with a lot of family history that doesn't break with tradition. There's plenty to look at on the walls, the floor moves when someone walks by, it great. I had the Muffy and it was one of the best muffaletta sandwiches I think I've had here in the US. The roast beef looked so good I got one to go for dinner. Love the sweet mint tea. Super refreshing. The staff was welcoming and pleasant. I'll come here again for sure.

Family owned for generations! I was working in the area & walked in because I loved the outside of it. I came in after 1PM & was the only customer eating inside. There was plenty of walk-in traffic picking up food that the family knew. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. They talked with me & gave me the history of the store & neighborhood. The inside is like stepping back in time with old photos & nostalgia. Loved the place so much that I came back 2 more times when I was in Shreveport. “The Muffy” is their trademarked sandwich & must be tried! They even have foodstuff you can buy & take home. I got their Papa Fertitta’s Olive Mix for sandwiches when I got back home. Really nice prices too!

On a quick trip to my hometown, I decided to go check out Fertitta’s before I left town. So glad I did! Only regret is that I hadn’t been there before. The historic building, the owners, the history and the Muffy are all amazing!

This is my honest out of towner review;My wife are from out of town just passing through, we saw this place and decided to stop in. And boy are we glad we did. We didn’t know what to think at first, it had this old homey, small town feel to it. I felt out of place but welcomed all at the same time.You walk up to the counter, order what you want, grab the drinks that are in the fridge, sit down where ever you want. They bring out the food to you, and you pay at the counter when your done eating.Everyone who we spoke to that worked there was absolutely amazing, respectful and all around great! We had the Muffy sandwich I believe it’s called, first time ever having it and WOW, it was amazing! We will definitely be coming back when we pass through again.
