Not over cook or over season when requested to do so by the customer. I specifically asked the waiter to let the kitchen know I didn't want it cooked so long it was dried out and very light seasoning. That didn't happen, I don't feel I will ever go back.

Family and I came here for my Dad’s birthday and the whole family loved it. The restaurant still looks the same from when my grandparents took me here when I was little. The catfish plates can’t be beat. The catfish tastes fresh and the closest you’ll get to eating fried fresh fish at someone’s home. My little one loved their hushpuppies and Cajun style fries.

The decor was very dated. The dining room was very dark and had no windows. The hushpuppies were overcooked and dry.

Tha catfish was excellent! They had the best tartar sauce I've ever eaten. Bean soup, tomato relish, Cole slaw was all very good. I ate there twice in one week! I would highly recommend Jan's. I will go again.

All the crusts fell off the frog legs, shrimp, and onion rings. Fish meal stayed on good.

Seems kind of small, overall was great for my friends birthday dinner. They were able to accommodate us with a secluded area so that was great. Mrs. Linda (BARTENDER) ask her for the Lemon drop ? its close to closing so that's probably why everything seemed so rushed but food was on point everything was seasoned to perfection ? ? must try if your in the area.

What happened to this place?! It use to be so good but this visit was such a disappointment. The baked fish had no seasoning, Cole slaw was dry as can be. When we first walked in, what appeared to be a manager, was rude and had a bad attitude. The prices they charge is a disgrace for the quality of food they serve. The only good thing was our sweet waitress. 0/10 Do not recommend!

I have been going to Jan’s for 35 years. The food the last few times I have been was way over cooked and too salty. Not sure what’s going on but something has definitely changed. I think it’s time the place is updated. Painting the place alone would do the place wonders and update the restrooms and it wouldn’t take much to make the place look a little more inviting. It has not changed in 35 years. It’s so dark in there. Spend a little money, time and effort into your business update the place and it would do the place wonders!
