Got the gumbo here and it left nothing to be desired. Still do not get the hype about this place. Ambience wasn’t great but okay. You stand to order your food and get up to go get your food when they call your name, okay. Food was OVERPRICED for the quality. It was cold, not fresh, poorly seasoned. When I returned the food asking for it to be warmed (because it was that cold), minutes later they returned the food and the temperature was barely different and the guy used his BARE HANDS to put the French bread onto my food. Bare hands. Who knows where the hands has been? What happened to wearing gloves? We were so hopeful because it seemed well recommended but it was an absolute disappointment. If you are going to sell such a cheaply made meal for so much, at least let it be warm to consume. Now, we know where not to go.

Driving across country from Cali to GA with my daughter and she had never experienced soul food in the south. Stopped here and had shrimp poboys, her first one ever...and it tasted just like I remember when I was a kid growing up in New Orleans! A special moment my daughter will never forget, and she keeps asking to go back again! Guess we gotta plan another road trip! This place is worth it! ??

On our way out of Shreveport we wanted to get some coffee and beignets. It was a few minutes out of the way but so worth it.We got there around 10:30 and they informed us that the full menu wouldn’t be available until 11 but they had coffee and beignets available now. It was perfect for us. Each order came with 3 so we got two orders. They were the best I had ever had. Who needs Cafe Du Monde? These were BETTER! Just the right size to handle (think large ravioli) and coated in powdered sugar that stuck perfectly to the outside. They were fluffy and light but also dense and full (not just one big air pocket). Yes, they were a little messy to eat but all beignets are. I was expecting them to be a little greasy but they weren’t, they were just right in every way.We didn’t order anything else but this will be somewhere we make sure to stop every time we are in town!

Stopped in for a quick lunch while on a road trip. Employees were all super friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in the restaurant! They were attentive and seemed happy to help-which can’t be said for a lot of places.Food was fantastic and on par with pricing I would anticipate. Will definitely be returning next time I am in town!

Cute spot. I dined alone bc I didn’t want to be cooped up on such a gorgeous day, and I required a patio! I felt accepted and at home. All the staff was either friendly or chill. Prices reflect the economy so can’t really say much about that! I wasn’t hungry, but I know my friends and family love eating here. They do NOT have happy hour prices, but a double Tito’s is $11, which is a deal. I’d say if you have two adults with two drinks, one app, and two entrees, you’re going to drop about $60.

Friendly staff. Going through town and they had beignets in the afternoon, past 3 pm. We had beignets, Nanas bread pudding with great sauce, and a fried Po’ Boy sandwich. Delicious. We would return.

Never had a bad meal here! This morning’s brunch was the best. Corned beef hash, thick slices of corned beef, chicken fried steak, cream gravy with a fried egg over 2 types of potatoes! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!Parking: Lots of parking next door as the other businesses are closed on Sunday’s.Kid-friendliness: Kids and dog friendly.
