Stumbled across this while out today and decided to give them a try for lunch. The atmosphere is very nice, staff was as well, our server was delightful. Lunch was delicious ?. We had chopped brisket sandwich, sliced brisket sandwich. Sides, I recommend their house chips, crunchy N tasty. Coleslaw was ok only, A disappointment at the table was the onion rings. They really were lacking in flavor. All in all a lunch we'd have again with just a couple changes.

I was so dissatisfied with my food for the price that my wife payed for it and when it got to the table it was served cold , now who go's to a suppose to be a 5 star restaurant and get served COLD RIBS. Now my wife's food was OK but for me I will never go back or refer this place .

I can’t even begin to explain my experience with this restaurant. MY Husband and I traveled in from Dallas. There was a reservation made weeks in advance to celebrate my sister birthday who is a stroke patient and turning 67. Our family traveled from Houston, Dallas, New Orleans not just Shreveport for her surprise party. This manager Sherry was so outrageously belligerent it was like being on the show Punk’d. Her statements to us became increasingly pugnacious. Our family kept looking around to see who she was talking to. No one came to her with the negative energy she came around the corner with all for an extra chair she agreed to bring if needed. The way she was talking down to us trying to explain what a reservation means, how a restaurant seating work and that she has another party after us. Well we were ON TIME. She talking to a table of SEVERAL REGISTERED NURSES, PASTOR, RETIRED ARMY MASTER SERGEANT 21 YRS, RETIRED GENERAL MOTORS OF 30 YRS, TRUCK DRIVERS, ELECTRICIANS & X-RAY TECHNICIANS. WE were all Happy to be together for a happy occasion, SHE SINGLE HANDEDLY RUINED MY SISTERS SURPRISE PARTY. She would not let anyone speak, we asked, can we speak she got louder and louder at one point she said, I’m not comfortable with y'all standing so close to me, don’t touch me. ??? IT TOOK EVERYTHING TO NOT COME OUT OF CHARACTER WITH THIS LADY. It seemed that’s what she wanted. Yes she is a white lady and we are a BLACK SUCCESSFUL FAMILY. I never will allow anyone to try to belittle my family again, we didn’t want my sister day ruined, she was already looking very sad at this point. We felt we should leave, we don’t want anyone fixing our food or servicing us at this rate. WE BECAME UNCOMFORTABLE AND FELT BERY UNWELCOME. The Cook came out and was so apologetic, he kept apologizing for something he did not do. This is not a establishment for Blacks, apparently this lady has been acting this way for sometime because surrounding employees in other establishments came out of their workplace asked us if we got kicked out. We were even more shocked. They said yeah, “they don’t like our kind especially that lady.” This place doesn’t deserve our family, friends or money. This is a 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. We saved my sisters Birthday by every getting on the phone to call surrounding restaurants and we were able to be seated quickly and treated with Respect.

I booked this restaurant 3 weeks in advance for a party of 15 for my mom 67 birthday. I arrived 2 minutes before time because I was told to be on time because it was a party after me. They lady that booked us told us she will just book for 12 and when the rest of my guest arrive, she will seat them, because it was easy for her to add to my party then to book a big party and they don't show up. I asked the manger to add just one table to my party and she did and asked if I needed all 4 chairs and I told her to just add 2 chairs and wait until the others arrive and she said OKAY. Once the others arrived, I needed the remaining chairs, and I went to ask her, and she went to hollowing and talking to me all crazy and wasn't trying to hear what I needed. My mom is a disabled stroke patient and was just sitting there sad. I tried to talk, and she just kept getting loud. This was a white woman and yes, we are African American. We are standing up trying to calmly talk with this lady, she stated why are y'all surrounding me. I looked at her like lady nobody is sounding you. She just kept talking loudly as we just listen to her go off on us was the most embarring moment as a customer and then said we are disturbing her customers, and she was clearly the problem because we never yelled, and she never let us say a work. Each time we tried she would get louder with us. I grabbed for my nephew because she was out of control, she screamed stop touching me. I never touched her and was like are your serious right now. I told everyone let's go because this lady clearly has a problem with us being black. The cook came out and talked with us and apologized for her behavior and wanted to serve us. She came back yelling again are y'all staying or leaving. I had to leave because she was not someone that I will ever want to serve me. This lady doesn't need to be a manager because she clearly has issues with people of color. She thought she would destroy our charter to try and say we did something but if you have cameras and talk to other customers you would see that she was the problem. My family and I traveled from Houston and Dallas to do a surprise birthday dinner that was ruined by an outrageous manger. I will never go back to this place ever again and rate a 0 if I could. I plan to call the corporate office.

David Alvis has created the best dining/bar experience in Shreveport/Bossier. The steaks are as good as the best steaks in uptown Dallas. For a fraction of the price. The service is excellent. And the ambiance is fantastic. Cannot say enough good things about this place.

Went to Silver Star on Ellerbe road. The service was horrible. Took 10 minutes to get water, about 20 minutes to get drinks. Food was okay. Wife got salad, fries. I git turkey sandwich with onion rings. I had a beer and she got a mojito. We shared a slice occasionally cake for dessert. Our bill was over 50 dollars. In my opinion it was over priced but food was okay tasting. I doubt i will hold back there.

Went here for a wedding reception. The food, service, and staff were absolutely amazing. They were very intentional about ensuring we had enough food, took care of our drinks quickly, and went above and beyond for the groom & bride. Great service, great atmosphere.

We went here as a large group and with that being said, food was cold, overpriced and really not that special. Service was good considering.
