Happy “Jay's Wife” Days

The food is good. The wait was very short. Enjoyed everything. The portion size went down and the price went up. Ugh.

The food was good but have had a lot better seafood. Service was not good at all. Our waitresses weren't very organized. Never picked up our appetizer plates. They stayed on the table the complete meal. She asked if we would like our check before we were finished eating our meal. Then, I had to wait almost 15 minutes to get the check.

Probably the best resturant chain, fried chicken around. So not counting more local spots. Copelands is at the top, which shouldn't be surprising lol

Our visit had the potential to be great but unfortunately fell a bit short. The tuna dip appetizer, gumbo and salad were just okay but the pasta with veal my fiancé ordered and my daiquiri were delicious! Pretty good happy hour deals from 3-6 on weekdays that are worth checking out.The biggest issue we had was with the service. We sat on a high top in the bar area and received dismissive and sloppy service from our server/bartender. I think it may have been our server specifically, as everyone else we interacted with was great! Having both worked as bartenders and servers we are able to decipher whether service is poor due to being busy and stressed versus being apathetic and lazy. We unfortunately received the latter.Overall this place is worth checking out for happy hour, however I'd recommend sitting in the dining room and stick to ordering their "since 1983" items.

Food was the best I've ever had. Seating was a little disappointing, but they are renovating so no biggie, 2 people with an app and two entrées plus a 20% tip you looking to spend bout 100 to 150 with no desert because the food was so good we got overstuffed.

Food quality has dwindled over the years, but still good food. Staff could smile more and be kind but I get dealing with the public can be stressful.

I give 4for atmosphere because we were seated in the part that was under construction. It was our 1st time there, so "first impressions" & all. The food was good but the loaded baked potato was out of this world! I honestly think it was the best I've ever had! Our waiter, Jalen, was great! My husband's whiskey sour was delicious. I would visit again just for another potato!

That was some great food! I enjoyed a daddy daughter lunch date. She very much liked the grilled cheese bites. I had the amazing 'jazzy wings'. I would also recommend the Shrimp AND Tasso bow tie. Other great recommendations. Shrimp Ducky, Crawfish bread, Honestly whatever you order you will enjoy!

They are currently undergoing renovations so there's black plastic sheeting hanging everywhere. This makes the dining area seem small. It was also very noisy as well. The food and service were great!

I was not impressed at all. The seafood platter was more like a seafood basket but priced as a platter. 4 small catfish strips that may equal 1 decent filet just cut in quarters. The breading was not crunchy/crispy at all. Shrimp tasted like the inside of a freezer and that breading wasn't crunchy/crispy either. The crab cake had little to no flavor & again it was not crunchy. The fries and ketchup were on point, so was the ice tea.
