I can't recommend because it's permanently closed. It's possible that it moved but Internet searches still point to the Gause Ave address. A shame too...I ate there for almost 30 years.

I went by there today to get lunch an dit appears that it's closed for good. I didn't see anything in the dining area. Like no tables, chairs, etc. I hope that it just moved. I've been eating there for the last 30+ years.

This was our first time trying this restaurant. The rice was okay, the chicken hard and old, the egg rolls were cold and horrible with some type of dark red meat in them. I had to spit it out as soon as I taste it. The vegetables were hard, if they would have been cooked long enough they would have been okay I guess! Needless to say I won’t be dining here again!

If I could give this place no stars I would. The short Asian lady was extremely rude. Did not acknowledge that I was standing there waiting. She was to " busy" eating to assist her customer (me). I then proceeded to ask her while she was eating for a menu, seemed to get more irritated with me. I was ready to order but she had to make sure she was finished eating before she could take my order. I was starving at the time and that's the only reason I did not walk out. Food was good so if you can deal with a rude worker then this place is for you. On the other hand me k can not and will not ever go back again.

Today was our first time there and we really enjoyed our dinner. Not only was the food good it was more than we could eat. To top it off the servers were friendly and did a good job. I could have made a meal out of an order of egg rolls, fried wonton and shrimp fried rice alone! Look forward to going back soon.

This was some terrible food. The vegetables in the boneless chicken seemed like they were so old, they tasted sour. And the chicken was reheated for sure. Called in and they said it was fresh. It definitely was not. I do wish they would've offered to fix it, but they argued instead. Never going back here. Watch out because they did fail a health inspection in June 2023, saw that after I ordered...

This place has been around for a while and is my family's favorite Chinese place in Slidell. One of the things that for a long time set it apart was its dining room. You know how a lot of Chinese are obviously catered towards takeout, with small, cramped dining areas with only a handful of cheap tables (if that)? Imperial Chopsticks is not like that. They have over a dozen tables, carpet, and tablecloths. Sure, the décor was a bit dingy/showing its age, but the fact remains that you can dine in and it would feel like a restaurant rather than fast food. Well... at least that's how it used to be before the pandemic. As of September 2022, Imperial Chopsticks is still closed for dine-in service, only doing takeout. I'm not sure if it's because of COVID concerns, staffing issues, or what, but it's really unfortunate because that's one of the main things that made them stand out in Slidell. As for the food itself, I really like the breaded/fried chicken they use in their dishes. The empress chicken is a favorite for that reason, and because it uses a nice mixture of vegetables rather than being heavily skewed towards onions and bellpeppers. And as with most Chinese places, the portions here are very generous. Overall a good Chinese place, but with the dining room closed it's not a standout, so 3 stars.
