I got a snowball with cheesecake in it. The cheesecake was at the bottom of my snowball. I tasted the cheesecake and it tasted very off so I started looking at it I realized there was mold spots all over the cheesecake. That is GROSS! I went back and was told that it was sprinkle residue but I don’t believe that.

It's a huge no for me. I'm a New Orleans native so I've had some of the best snoballs ever so I'm just keeping it honest as i try to do in every review. I ordered a cotton candy snoball with condensed milk. I asked them to give me a larger cup because i was alone and didn't want it to spill in my car. And whatever flavoring they used was horrid. They also made it extremely mushy as you can see in the pictures which is not how it's supposed to be when you first get it. It was very sloppy and i guess asking for the larger cup threw them off or something i don't know. I skimmed the top after taking one bite then stuffed napkins in it because it was so yucky and i couldn't eat another bite. Remember i got it in a larger cup so what you see in the picture is nearly all of what i purchased and what i also threw in the trash ugh! Totally ruined my day and appetite. Since Pelican's Snoball closed I've been trying to find another spot. But haven't had much luck. I also had a similar less than pleasant experience at another snoball stand in Slidell so I'm convinced they just may not know how to make the way the New Orleans natives do. So I'll just have to stick with my go to New Orleans spots to get a good snoball. I pray that they can get it together but i won't be back to find out.

Used to be this clown place in the same parking lot way back when when there was still the video Joe rental place. Used to ride my bike there when I was a kid and rent movies to bring back. Now it’s in one of the shops in the strip mall. More options for sure and still good. Smothered in syrup like it should be.

I had a very bad experience at southern delights. We asked for waffle cones but instead they gave us regular cones. Then ordered strawberry short cake expecting cake, ice cream, whipped cream and strawberry that we have gotten there before. But instead we got a strawberry short cake flavored snow ball. We went back through the drive through to change our order, then charged us again for the same thing with whipped cream and straw berry's on top. On top of that we were charged twice for the same thing and got a wrong order twice. Very unsatisfied.

I saw while waiting possibly 30-45 min at least 3 - 4 cars leave from waiting. Maybe they were short handed. This was my first time. I hated it for them to lose the business! Im all for small businesses. I would hope they would also figure a way for better parking/drive thru. Because their business could double or even triple! If they had someone taking orders outside and getting it to the workers inside could make it faster. They were very friendly and seemed to be working as fast as they could. Also when I got my snowball, medium size, they gave a regular short spoon. A long one was really need for this size. But it was my first time, maybe they were out? Would I go back? YES! Would I recommend the wait? YES!! Very delicious and not bad prices! May God bless your business more!

I got an 8oz Banana Taffy/Wild Strawberry w/Condensed Milk on top! It was delicious. This is my second time going to this stand and the customer service is always great! Prices are great! I gave it 3 stars because the wait in the drive up is 10min+ and I had a chunk of ice in my snowball. I don't ever mind waiting but I'd want my ice smooth and consistent. Definitely recommend them!

This was the best place to get a snowball in town. Now it sucks! They are overpriced, the syrup is watered down and your lucky if you get any syrup. I'm very disappointed! I will not return to this place ever again! I will bring my business to JUANIES SHAVED ICE!

Working at a flip house in Slidell, my family decided to take a break and have snowballs close by. Although Southern Delight was several minutes away, the reviews were fantastic so we went. We waited 30 minutes just to barely move up in the drive through. There were approximately six or seven cars in front of us and at that rate we was not going to get snowballs anytime soon. We left and went somewhere else. We drove by southern delights to see the wait and only 2 cars left by the time we came back. I know with Covid they have limited employees but that can be a little extreme in their situation. So if you're kind of in a rush with limited time, I respectively suggest to watch your time. I am sure they have great snowballs or else people won't sit in their vehicle for an hour.

We have frequented this snowball stand a few times. I am very sad to say we will not return. My husband visited this stand to get 2 snowballs; one for him and one for my toddler son. Upon receding the snowball, he noticed that it was really dry so he asked for additional juice. The lady at the window got frustrated and told him that she will have to charge for every juice. Charge for extra juice??? When the snowballs were almost white from being dry?? I've NEVER heard of being charged for extra juice and I'm from New Orleans. They always give you extra juice no charge. Mind you, this is AFTER he had paid $4.35 on his card (with $1 tip) she was so rude that he just requested a refund. They refunded him $3.45 in cash. Kept the tip. Lost a customer (4 actually since we're a family of 4).
