Love hidden gems. The neighborhood kids were out playing and invited my son to play. The employees were nice. Great roadtrip

A bit too salty for me. Probably perfect for the rest of the world. Nice for a change. Down home cooking!

Bottom Line: Aptly named, if slightly hard to find, tiny eatery manned by a very friendly owner. Food is authentic down home cookin'. Don't let the rustic setting throw you, the food is good. It's worth the trouble to find this tucked away joint in Sulphur LA. Top Line: After a bit of map wrestling to locate this small eatery situated on a side residential street, I stopped in for an early lunch & scored a shrimp po'boy to carry me through. I'd initially wanted to try some of their BBQ. But it was raining that day and the owner only barbecues on Friday and Saturday weather permitting. The po'boy sandwich bun was nicely toasted. The shrimp came with a very light batter, almost like tempura batter. The shrimp were also piping hot, which was a nice temperature contrast to the coolness of the lettuce and tomato that shared the real estate with the shrimp. Overall it was a really fine sandwich. Prices are very reasonable. The owner is a delightfully friendly guy, which makes Moms And Pops BBQ an easy repeat eatery next time I'm in the Sulphur LA area.
