Had the pleasure of going to Norm's for the first time last night. We stopped there before the fight to grab a drink while we were waiting on friends. It was only like 6:00 pm so not packed at all. The bartenders were so nice and welcoming. We stuck out like sore thumbs and they could tell it was our first time there lol. They immediately offered menus, suggestions, etc. I didn't have long so I opted for a small liquid marijuana daiquiri. IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD!! It has the perfect amount of bite. So after the fight we just had to come back. That was when the party was starting lol. It was packed. Karaoke going! We had SO much fun and again, the bartenders were impeccable! They kept up with the ever growing crowd with ease! Look this is your typical, small, hometown bar. Lots of locals. But again, even though we clearly were not locals (didn't have my Nicholls red on lol), we were made to feel very welcomed. Both visits. We do plan on coming back next time we're out there and will definitely get out there early enough to try the food! Just want to reiterate one more time, the bartenders were amazing. I wish I could have gotten their names but it was a girl and a guy behind the bar the first time and then later that night it was 2 girls and 1 guy. It was the night/morning of October 7 so if they happen to see this thank you!!!

It was just pretty good. I only got beer here, no taps, but it seems to be more of a daquaris place. The beer is cheap! It's always strange to me to see a bar in a shopping plaza. But the do have a good escape when you leave, can duck out the side and take the back road. Nice set of pool tables at 75 cents a game! Good decor, kareoke saturday night and most importantly a nice mix of people of all ages, cajun to college student, and a mix of ethnicities. Plus I felt comfortable talking to anyone there. Even chatted with a nice hispanic couple.

While we were down for a roller derby all star tournament, Norms was the spot. Right across the street. Great food (we ate there every night sometimes twice a day) and I'm pretty sure we bought enough daiquiris where they could retire for life

Norms has always been a second home even when I didn't have one. I hope the owners know how lucky they are to have such wonderful staff who work their a** off. Who ever has done the hiring in the last 11 years is also deserving of praise for knowing how to find workers who embody the brand. This is a place for fun and enjoyment but there have been nights when all I wanted to do was fade away and Norms talked me down. It's a place unlike any other and if you have never been or if you are in town visiting make sure you stop in. Thanks for always giving love and accepting me when no one else did and the times when I didn't even do it for myself.
