Don’t know how this location remains open! Tonight(Nov. 17, 2023) was the third evening I go to this location to take out an order, which probably would have been close to $100 but there was no Chicken & Sausage gumbo ready(was told it would be 20-30 minute wait), no Pastalaya(at all). The staff most of the time isn’t really welcoming, nor are they thorough with fulfillment of orders( couple of times were forgetting to place rice with order of gumbo, among other things. To the owners…I suggest you address these issues because you are losing business! Not sure I will return!

As I walked in, it appeared free of all employees and customers. This was around 7pm. I noticed someone in a little window behind the counter, look at me and then call other staff to the front, she didn't seem very happy that I arrived. This is only assumption. .....she then closed a red checkered curtain to hide herself from view. the young lady who helped me was very friendly and helped me with my order. Not basing this 1 star review on staff. It's the food. I ordered a jambalaya dinner. Out of green beans but not their fault. However, never have I ever see a jambalaya so SOLID. scoops of jambalaya in the shape of the spoon. like thick mashed potatoes. so mushy I couldn't distinguish the rice. The corn was cold (not room temperature).. cold as if it were coming from a refrigerator. I will not be taking my chances on this place again.

Came in because I was getting hangry. You walk in and go to the counter to order. I got the combo #1 with jambalayapasta. It was good but tasted as if all seasonings were added after the dish was done cooking. Prices were reasonable.

Just had to come leave a review to let people know the best cook they had, Curtis was laid off unfortunately because The Jambalaya Shoppe couldn’t afford to pay him anymore. The restaurant is unprofessional, and going far down the drain financially. Don’t be surprised if there’s no longer a Jambalaya Shoppe in Thibodaux in the next few months. Don’t give your business to these people, they are only in it for themselves.

Took a chance after seeing the reviews and we were pleasantly surprised! Food was good and huge portions! The combo #1 was enough for 2 ppl with a couple extra rolls! The rice was so soft and gumbo & beans were delicious. And staff was super nice. Plenty of parking and a drive through option.
Visit last to try the crackling. Just say I'm glad I didn't get a pound. Very disappointing. A bag full of grease, bite into them grease just gushing in my mouth. Threw in the trash! Stomach was upset set. Hands mouth full of grease

The food honestly sucked and lacked seasoning. Gumbo mostly had fat. Jambalaya was undercooked and had old chicken on it overall never again.

Pastalaya is bangin. They were out of 2/3 deserts & whitebeans. Daughter said the gumbo was good. Boudin is lacking. Not a bad place though.
