I brought my son Evan Dong from California to the West Monroe, LA for the 2024 US Junior National Team Trial. Unfortunately, his 11th birthday fell on the second last day of the Trial. The competition was fierce and mentally draining with talented kids from all over the country and I had no energy to plan out a birthday celebration for him.Fortunately, Allbritton’s Cake House and Catering saved the party. I borrowed another parent’s car and walked into the store close to 11am on the day of the event (I know I should have planned this better) and I ordered a half-sheet size Black Forest birthday cake with a custom table tennis design on the cake to be delivered less than 5 hours later by 4:30pm. I went to a few other stores in the area, but NOBODY could do this. I was also concerned about the taste and quality of the cake and talked to the lady for a long time because I don’t want the scenario that nobody wants to eat it and I had to throw the whole thing away - after all, many kids and moms from California are accustomed to the best cakes and are very picky in their taste.Well, the result was Allbritton’s Cake House delivered a slam-dunk successful cake on time that all kids and moms loved it. They ate a couple of rounds and even wanted to take the left-over home. It was just an amazing and successful cake that made the celebration party a huge success.Today is our last day of stay before heading back to California. My son Evan has won the Second Place in the Junior National Team Trial U11 Boys on his birthday. Allbritton’s Cake has made our birthday celebration a huge success. THANK YOU to the hospitality of the people of West Monroe Louisiana. The worst cake ever. The attitude of the workers was very nasty. Didnt care to help fix the situation until i asked to speak with the manager. One of the workers refunded my card without even getting the okaye then wanted my card number to recharge me, To get the cake whenever I never even approved the refund for the cake to be very dry and icing very bitter. This cake was supposed to be for our 20th Anniversary because we didn’t have a wedding and so this cake was special. It was not the flavor of cake we requested. It looks like a child wrote and decorated it. Our anniversary had nothing to do with Valentines so I don’t know why they put that on there. Their white cake is always dry and has no flavor so we ALWAYS order the almond flavor cake. Didn’t expect a refund but to at least do something. But because the person who took the order wrote down the wrong flavor after my husband told them several times to make sure it was right flavor but you don’t honor your work especially when it’s wrong. Very disappointed that they don’t take better care of repeat customers.

In the past I had good experiences when I've ordered a cake. However, yesterday changed that. The girl who was at the counter was rude and unhelpful. She acted like she really didn't want me to even order from them. I left and will not be back.

I called from Canada this morning when they opened. The girl I spoke to was extremely helpful in getting an order ready for pick up. I was extremely pleased with the service! I can’t thank you enough! The man that will be picking it up has been going through an extremely difficult situation, and I’m hoping this will brighten his and his family’s day! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your service!
Have used this place for 20 years for all cake occasions. I also go there just to get a box of sweet treats every couple of weeks. They have a great selection of goodies, like cake balls, double doozies, cupcakes, frosted cookies, turtles, etc.

Went in the store. I was excited bc I hadn't been in a really long time. An older pentecostal lady was standing there on the phone staring at me. I said hello to her and she didn't acknowledge me. No smile wave or anything. After a few minutes another worker came and waited on me. She was polite and friendly. I assume the older lady is the owner. I won't be back. Why should I spend my money when you can't even acknowledge that I exist. Very rude.
