Boy you know the food is going to be ON when it's locals speaking Cajun French and chowing down. Had the shrimp poboy and the roast beef. Good stuff. Server even made me a margarita on the rocks. We ordered lunch today roast beef on French dressed with light mayo. Well they put mayo on both sides for of the bread way too much. We ordered a taco salad it taste like hamburger meat with no taco flavor. Very disappointed.

Went there tonight to grab a quick bite they close at 7:00 I got there at 6:40. Sat there for 15 minutes before somebody came up and said I'm sorry but the kitchen just closed they're not making any more food. It wasn't even 7:00 yet and you mean to tell me the kitchen closed 20 minutes before 7:00 and you just let me sit there for 15 minutes just to tell me that I can't even order any food when you could have told me that when I walked in the door. Then the waitress who told me that the kitchen was closed said she wasn't even working the side I was sitting on and that the other waitress should have came up and told me this but she was in the back smoking instead of taking care of customers that were already in the building before closing time. They have some decent food but I'm sorry I will probably not be back.

I have been several times when my uncle was alive and took my family there after he passed away.The shrimp and grits are heaven in a bowl!If you don't like Belgian waffles, this place is for you.The seafood is fresh, and the service is great. You feel like you're at a bayou home!I have always been told to look where locals congregate. It means food is good and service is good. This place was always packed. The wait wasn't long, and it was worth it!If you want, the Commodore type food, service, and prices make your reservations there, but if you want good Louisiana cooking, great portion sizes, and a homey atmosphere, try this little place. It's worth every penny!
