We were at Embers Restaurant in Winnfield, Louisiana on the 10th of this month. We liked to never get waited on. The server dropped of a menu, brought our drinks and then completely ignored us. I told the lady at the register that my coke was diet, when I ordered regular. She argued with me. I finally got up and got a bottle drink out of the case. Time passed( about 20 minutes ). Another waitress finally came and took our order, another 15 minuits and, someone from the kitchen brought our food, no one checked to see if we needed anything. If they don't know you on a first name basis they don't want you in there, getting in their way.

The food was good. The price was really great. The service really wasn't that great. They didn't even come asked you if you needed a refill on anything you had to call them over. And the sad thing is the place wasn't even busy there may have been two other customers in there besides me. They were more worried about talking on the phone or standing up at the cashier register talking.Parking: They really have a lot of parking space.Kid-friendliness: Will they have a kids menu and stuff.

I was on the way home from Missouri and I was hungry. I wanted a good set down place to eat and relax for a bit. I got a place to sit down and soon as I set down the young lady was right over getting my drink order. I looked at the menu for a minute and then I ordered. The food was hot and it didn't take as long as I thought it would take because the restaurant was packed.

Food was cooked well but lacked seasoning. Highly recommend the Budan rolls. Service was lazy and not friendly. Had to ask for refills. But the atmosphere while slient was quite it was nice. Portions were also good. Overall would recommend if visiting or passing through.

service sucked it was way over priced anthe food was plain an unseasoned the burger was a patty that was frozen not homemade fries didn't come with the burger the home fries we purchased were very this slices of a potato that were fried like the were trying to make chips the roast beef po boy was full of gristle which made it tough

We stop here to eat lunch and say our goodbyes to our family, on our way back home to South Louisiana. They were able to serve all 17 of us with no problems at all. Very very friendly and amazing staff. Food was delicious! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I ordered the chicken fried steak it was good but sides and bottom cooked to hard banana pudding yuck sorry waste of money to me my stomach still

Horrible food! How can you mess up a baked potato well they sure can! Lunch meat game with some sort of pico white onions and tomatoes and peppers?!?! I've never seen or eaten a baked potatoes like this and never will. Lunch meat! What're is the bacon and chives and sour cream? The fried mushrooms had foul tasting batter with no flavor. The chicken fried steak was a frozen processed meat and the salad was just plant iceberg not even chopped and a few c tomatoes. The " Texas toast was cold toasted white bread with no butter! Do no go here it's cheep food. They also forgot the ranch for mushrooms and our salad! Had to go back and get it.
My husband ordered the Shrimp Po-boy and fried mushrooms. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with Cajun fries. We shared each others food. I was enjoying my portion of the shrimp po-boy until I noticed one of the shrimp was not deveined. Yuck! Cheeseburger was ok and fries were fries. The fried mushrooms weren’t that great. It’s like they were dropped in oil that wasn’t hot enough or something. The restaurant itself was on the dirty side. Don’t think I will be back. Especially after paying $45 for lunch! Yikes!

The food is so so I do go there fr time to time. Only had 1 bad experiences there and it cost me a lot that day but that was just one of them times they had some young girls working there and they just didn't kniw what they were doing. When I brought it to their attention they said oh that's the way it's suppose to be so I didn't argue with them I paid my 72.00 for 2 burnt shrimp plates. Have been there since and it's good again. Great place to eat after church.
